Leicester only care if they are selling him or which team is covering his wages (or the largest % of his wages). They don't care if he's in a relegation battle or a promotion push, it makes little difference to them.

Yes, it's unlikely. We are only halfway through the season and we'd have to finish in the play offs firstly and then somehow win them.

They might go for it, but it seems unlikely they will cancel his loan, send him to us so we can pay less of his wages, based on a promise we are unlikely to fulfil.

He isn't saying there is money, he's saying someone has told him there is. That's nothing new, they've been claiming that every transfer window since they turned up. Unfortunately it usually isn't enough to get what we need.

On the basis we've probably only paid around £1.25m initially for Gueye and Ohashi I wouldn't say they're the worst signings in the world.

Then you've got Batth and Beck who were fairly inspired captures. Don't think anyone thought Cantwell was a bad idea when he signed either.

Your comparison is a bit skewed understandably due to your public opinion on Broughton. 

We also signed Hyam, Brittain and Szmodics when we had some money and Tronstad when we didnt. 

There was some dross but for the most part absolutely no money. Are Telalovic and Ennis for the money paid worse than Gueye considering we spent a million on him?

I wouldnt get excited about money being spent until it is spent. Surely we have learnt our lesson.

I don't agree, I think Leicester would prefer him in promotion winning/chasing team.

Well of course Eustace wouldn't know that but he would be told that by Gestede and Waggott. Other than that Eustace wouldn't know How much there is? god knows, We see by the end of the window

As Telalovic has been brought up, he's doing really well in a poor bundesliga 2 team! Hope we have a sell on clause with him. Strange how he's doing so much better back in Germany and at a similar ish level to the championship.

This one does at least sound like he may be able to compete right away if he is as good as being claimed and already starting regularly in League One. But tbh I think our name has been put out by an agent as a way to get the glut of other clubs supposedly hovering to make a move. If several Championship clubs are interested in a player of that profile, he'll be moving for in excess of a million, and whilst we may have been willing to put what was it, about 300k into getting O'Riordan? I can't think we would spend above triple that for a very young defender when we need goals and haven't much of a pot to piss in.

5 goals in 13 matches is half decent but he has to show more over a prolonged period of time. 2. Bundesliga is a level below the Championship I'd say too.

Our best chance of securing a good striker this window is via a PL loan.

Closest we've come was when Mowbray was in charge and Venky's refused to sell Rothwell to Bournemouth. Did we receive an offer for Breo then as well (£7m?)?

Whatever people expect us to spend, or whatever we do spend- with the position we’re in, with the fees in the bank we’ve brought in over the last 12 months.

If we don’t even try to spend them to try and get promoted, what’s the point of us as a club? Especially with the potential riches on offer. Why bother buying a season ticket to see us go close, then effectively give up trying when we get close?

The lack of ambition is absolutely embarrassing.

1st part, those three cost over £5m the last time a relatively decent chunk of money was made available so not really a fair comparison.

2nd part - of course they are. Not even close. Note you've also conveniently omitted Ohashi for next to nothing out of the equation.
