Obviously its about who we sign. And just as obviously, having more money gives you a far better chance of signing better quality.

The most likely outcome is that we will spend little to nothing, and our play off charge will again run out of gas. So the budget to be spent is not interesting, its really annoying.

We see in 5 weeks time pal what business we have done and who we sign

I wanted a striker, left winger and a defender who can play left back and centre beck

Of decent quality too, ideally at least a couple for decent fees. That should be the expectation but wont happen.

Quality first. If it's quality loan players then so be it.

I would like 2 permanently and 1 loan signings permanently. We see in 5 weeks time

Won't happen? Says who?

The Venkys London accounts has the figure being £4.76 million.

It doesn’t indicate whether this includes the entirety of the summer window (but it definitely relates only  to the summer window)

LOL they're in court for fraud. I wouldn't believe their accounts.

Might just be changes on this one man city have been watching adam since early october - see him as a replacement for rodri - makes a lot of sense

Makes sense as a long term replacement perhaps...not sure it makes sense as a replacement while Rodri is injured. Adam has been out most the season himself and has just had a setback in his recovery. He also isn't world class yet.

Nobody in their right mind will make a move for Wharton until he’s back playing again.  That’s not likely to be until after the transfer window shuts.

Burnley already announced their first signing of the window. A recruitment team and club obviously on the ball.
Let’s hope we are still not waiting for an Indian green light still in the last week of January.

I don't know if there's anything in the Evan Ferguson thing, but he's as close to a young Alan Shearer as I've seen anybody in my lifetime.

Absolutely top class and would guarantee us a top 6 finish, in my opinion.

Which means there's no chance of him coming here.

Evan Ferguson will be moving to a premier league team in January and at the very worst Leeds or sheff u but I’m pretty confident itl be a prem team

For what we need we just don’t have the resources unfortunately

we would need players to take a pay cut or the parent clubs to pay over 50% of their wages and also for the player to be willing

the only realistic one I can think of would be

Al-Hamadi from Ipswich

Has he been linked to us (seriously) because otherwise there's little point in this discussion.

I think that will be wishful thinking...

they did`nt back jdt and i can`t see them backing eustace, both of them ambitious and progressive managers, traits which don`t go down well at ewood or in pune, expect eustace to get no help at all which leads to him either take another job or agree to leave at the end of the season, deja vu innit, always going to be the same with the indians and swag

In the past 3 seasons Forest, Bournemouth & Ipswich have shown how to do it - sign the best players you can even temporarily.

I think it was Keinan Davis who scored the goals to get Forest up, Bournemouth brought in 7 or 8 that window, last year Ipswich loaned in Keiffer Moore.

There'll be countless others. They say you don't get value for money signing permanent transfers - they need to give it a proper go and bring in the best they can get from the premier league.

We don’t have the resources for that type of player
