January Transfer window

Can we please take a moment to remember that someone at Rovers, whether it be chief scout or at board level identified, approved and signed John Fleck last January, who had an erroneous metal plate in his leg, managed 17 minutes of football and can't play a minute at League Two Chesterfield.

The whole club should be ashamed about that signing and needs to do better this time around... but my god is the bar set low....

That was a shocker. Somebody doing a favour for a mate there I suspect.

Very quiet on any transfer links. In truth, that’s not a bad thing and we do seem to manage to keep things under wraps now until the player is in the building and signed with the notable exceptions of O’Brien, Maguire and the young Rochdale lad.

Swag is reported as saying he is keen to follow the Brentford model.

As a Championship side Brentford sold Watkins for 20m then bought Toney for 12m from Peterborough.

Go on then...

Oh and Brentford built a new stadium while they were about it.

brentford scrapped their academy and went for the data model,it takes a settled and upwardly mobile team of scouts and analysts to do that,we don`t even have a head of recruitment let alone a team of analysts

swags talks shite,it`s never going to happen here

Dolan for his invillingness to sign a new deal as he thinks he's better than he is.

How do you know that? Do you know how much he's on now and do you know how much we're offering him to stay?

Yes, noticed the quoted target in the FF minutes of having a Park replacement in " before the end of the year" had been and gone.

No rush, we can always get someone comfortably installed by the end of the first week in February or something.

"What - what's that you say?"

It all depends on whether we're offering him something realistic.

Brereton, Lenihan, Rothwell and Nyambe obviously didn't think so.

All now still (or soon to be) back in the championship! Funny how it all works out isn’t it 😆

Probably all  on a lot more money than they were here. As they are professional footballers and not fans, I'm guessing they're all really sorry they left!

Yeah, but you’ve gotta buy players with the proceeds from player sales.
We clearly don’t fancy that.

If we keep our noses above water he might have people beating a path to his door wanting to copy the Blackburn "How to survive despite selling all your best players whilst spending fuck all on replacements" model though.
