roversfan99 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Same story in the LT today. Eustace has asked for signings and contracts to be sorted. Nothing happening yet. 1 Quote

The contract one especially is bewildering to me. What are they all up to sat in the offices at Brockhall all week? 3 Quote

It’s difficult to detect tone or intention when it’s written down, but there will naturally come a time when he starts to get frustrated. If he isn’t supported he’ll start to look elsewhere like JDT did. Sadly the people above him are utterly incompetent, and have proved to be so repeatedly. 9 Quote
neophox Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Think centre half ORiordan will be recalled as he just sits on the bench at Cambridge. He should be starting every week in league one or get bust. 1 Quote

It's like no one talks before the window opens, it becomes open, and then they start talking Venky’s don’t own them 👍. 9 Quote
ben_the_beast Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I've a feeling the court case mid Jan will be a lovely excuse. We all know it will be delayed once again, however it provides a narrative that we couldn't bring in x, y or z because of factors outside our control. You begin to see signs over time. No contract renewals for over 12 months indicates there are certain self imposed restrictions in place. So frustrating considering it was widely acknowledged that when JDT came in we were resetting due to assets leaving for free and the only thing GB received credit for was being proactive with renewals. They/Waggott never learn their lessons. It's always make it through 1 season at a time. Survival, not ambition. Personally I'm amazed we're at the level we are after the shambolic way we've been run for years and years. 4 Quote

How dare you use that language in here! 🤣 I bloody can't stand the name any more can you imagine the day when they are no more..... street parties resembling the jubilee....aircraft overhead.... a ribbon cutting ceremony for the first Venkys billboard to be removed.... can only dream of it 3 Quote
MarkBRFC Posted January 3 Posted January 3 (edited) If we are active it will be towards the end of the month, we aren't proactive unless it's getting someone out the other way. A bit more concerning for me is that Eustace, Brittain, Hyam, Batth, Tronstad, Travis, Dolan, Hedges, Siggurdsson, Weimann contracts all due to expire in the next 18 months, plus our 3 loans going back this summer. A really crucial period coming up, and I have no faith in anyone at the club to get anything sorted. Edited January 3 by MarkBRFC 4 Quote

Sadly it's not bewildering. It's clear they don't have the mandate to spend any money, so they'll be delaying everything until the next time the Venky's deem us worthy to communicate with. 1 Quote

I'm not judging him but at the start of the season Pears stock was at an all time low, in fact, if we'd have sold him over the summer every Rovers fan would have said it was the correct decision. We spent a reasonable amount (for us) for a player to never play, the fact he couldn't displace Pears off the back of last season is slightly concerning but as I say, Pears hasn't really done anything wrong to warrant dropping. If the cunts and the incompetents they have running the place fuck this transfer window up, it'll be up there amongst their biggest crimes since darkening our doors. Quite the opposite in fact - he cost us a shedload of points - so whilst he was here that £800k we spent on him was wasted. My original point was about whether the recruitment last summer was better than what had originally preceded it. Quote

Maybe Stoke can sell them Ennis so we can offload one of our to to the hatters again. Quote
