I still think Eustace would take Dembele and Oxford might be prepared to sell, depends on whether Rowett fancies him. One thing for sure, he will know all about him from his stint back at B’ham last year.

That's a non-starter as he has already played for 2 clubs

we are apparently interested in maxwell cornet, the ex dingle who flopped at west ham and has been sent back from his loan at southampton, watford interested in a loan, rovers want him permanently and west ham keen to just get rid of him,so we are in the driving seat

was a good player a few years and if we can get him cheaply then id`e be all for it,think he`ll have to take a massive wage drop though😏

Burnley sold him for £15m to West Ham. I doubt he's in our price range.

All I’m saying is that if it was us being linked to Baidoo Chaddy would have been calling it out as an amazing signing after he’s scored 5 goals in the Europa this season. As soon as he’s gone to someone where else he’s questioning the calibre of clearly a decent player. Just find it amusing that’s all.

if we end up with a better player then great. Just not convinced we will. Markanday will be hailed as the second coming by Swag and Rudy as we drag our arses over deadline day.

Applys to all transfers

Which is why Rovers really shouldn't get Jake Garrett on the pitch tomorrow - or the FA Cup game - until it is decided what to do with him.

Edit: Although he would be allowed to return to Bristol Rovers... for what that is worth.

In yesterday’s LT there was a transfer update.

I didn’t read the story cos I dont subscribe, but judging by the headline we will be ‘active’ in January and that JE wants reinforcements in 3 areas. I’m guessing he wants a Striker and LW. No idea on the other position (maybe LB?)

There’s  also mention of Bindon, but no idea what the update is?

Anyone read the article and can put meat on those bones?

Hope one if em is CEO area.

What we should do with him is keep him here as backup.

Seems this Farsi loan with a view to permanent move has legs. It might mean the rumour a PL club is tracking Britain is true.

There is no rumour of Brittain to a Premier league club. That rumour originated on one of Rovers Facebook groups from a guy who makes up transfer news on a daily basis.

The "rumour " was confirming and congratulating Brittain on his Premier league transfer ,it was first posted nearly a week ago and Brittain is in the squad today

It is the morning of Jan 4th. There should already be 2-3 signings through the f**king door. They should have been lock and loaded the minute the window opened.

Come on you pathetic wankers, get on with it.

It never happens like that in January and never does unless you overspend or the club we want the player from won't sell him unless they get player in

The major priorities have to be a wide player with pace and a centre forward.
I would go and get Ross Stewart from Southampton, had his injury problems and would need a seriously in depth medical but think he’s probably the best we can get with our budget. My second choice would be Kone at Wycombe.

The wide player first choice would be Poku for me even though he’s injured I think he’s a good longer term bet for us.
second choice would be to look at matondo again at rangers.

Both of those positions need to be permanent moves in my opinion.

We can use loans for the centre back and possible right back positions.

If the budget is there for three permanents then Bindon from reading as the centre back option. There is deffo a premier league player there so huge potential upside.

Massive game today expecting a really tight game but rovers to edge it 1-0 Big Mak to write himself into folklore! COYB

I will never get this

JE has asked for 2/3 quality players to help the group now

why on earth would Ross Stewart who is beyond injury prone be on anybody’s radar in January - he missed a whole season has come back and now missed the last two months

poku - long term yes but if we have any sort of budget I wouldn’t be using on him as it does not help us here and now he’s out til feb then he will need time on the grass see how the team works etc it could be mid March before ya see him

we need players fit and available for the here and now

if that can be addressed and poku can still be added (highly doubt it) then by all means

Which is also why you need to get the transfers in NOW.

You can't wait until 31 Jan to sort them - you've missed 8 games. Then they'll need at least a couple of weeks to get up to speed (either fitness wise if they're a young loanee or tactics / chemistry side if they're a senior player) - so that's 10 games.

Ross Stewart is a good player but he's far too injury prone, can't be relied upon to stay fit.

He's injured right now!

100% agreed I’m hoping and praying after todays game things start moving (don’t say that with any confidence) fa cup match aside allows for 2 weeks before the Pompey game

Poku is due back mid February. I would rather the club make longer term investments constantly with any funds they get rather than making short term fixes as we need players quickly. If it takes the whole of January it takes the whole month. The urgent need is the centre forward. Didn’t realise Stewart was injured now, probably go with kone then.
