If we want a striker with championship experience, I would moved for Nashville's striker Sam Surridge. Played for Swansea and Forest, Stoke and Bournemouth at this level. Scored 7 goals in 17 games for Forest in their promotion season

A striker currently playing in the MLS.

What could possibly go wrong.

But we need someone who creatively for him to actually score. Don’t think whoever the forward we get, with the creativity in the side we won’t score.

Yes we need a left winger, Gabo at Fulham as a loan option could be worth it.

Wouldn't mind Bamford if we could get him cheap, which, in itself is an oxymoron.  Proper clinical striker- would still want another and lots of pace.

We need players who will improve us and make a difference. I see no one on that list who does. Do you?

I don't know enough about said players to say if they're better than what we've already got chaddy.

What I do know for certain is that those Clubs have identified areas they think they need to strengthen in, have got their ducks in a row and have moved early in the window. I.e. whether said players come off or not at least their Club's are trying their best.

We on the other hand have known about the desperate need for reinforcements for ages yet nothing has happened yet and there are no real links either.

I suppose that old chestnut "Let's not judge it until after the end of the window" will be wheeled out soon. Which is fair up to a point but there are a lot of points to be won (and lost) in January.

With Ohashi out for 4 or 5 weeks the need for a new striker is now more urgent than ever.

If we sign anyone it will be on deadline day. Ideally we’d have signed a striker who could play today. You’d think the importance of today’s game would have been understood and some forward planning might have enabled us to have a better chance.

Bamford is the antithesis of a clinical striker.

If we want someone who can provide silky build up play and then miss from 2 yards (on a very large wage) he's our man I'd guess.

And that's assuming he's fit. Makes Gallagher look robust.

but none would have improve our starting 11.

I'm sure we have our targets but I don't know where we are.

I would say they haven't been many links for alot of transfers out there in the last few days for transfers.

Feel like I’m going round in circles every window. It’s not about improving the starting 11 it’s about having a squad big enough that we have options in every position and game changers on the bench.

Improving the starting 11 by definition makes the squad bigger. And we’ve scored more goals from the bench already than any other team in the league.

The starting 11 must be improved as a priority, specifically the front 3.

the striker signing has to be 1st choice and better than we have. so we have options and can go 2 up front.

The left winger with pace will give us more options.

on bench options, Eustace mentioned last week we are top of the league in goals off the bench

Interesting talk on radio Lancashire on the way home, Andre Gray released by Plymouth.

Don't know how many appearances but 4 goals this season.

Mentioned him before.

Forget the Burnley links, he is the exact type of player we need to lead the lines.
So many times today Gueye and Cantwell were out of sync, they spent 10 minutes of the second half bickering to each other about it.
If we arnt going to spend it's a no brainer.
