but none would have improve our starting 11.

That's only your own personal opinion. The Club's in question obviously were not of the same view

We don't know for certain where we are or who is available or whether the Club have any genuine intentions of improving the squad at all.  All that is pure speculation at this stage.

All we know for certain is that we are in desperate need of reinforcements and none have arrived to date and we lost at home today.

I think it could be make or break with Eustace this next few weeks if he is not backed he will be off and we will be back to square one.

He (and his agent) must be weighing up in their own minds whether or not he can afford to give Waghail the benefit of the doubt and leave it until the end of the window.

If he does and it's the usual predictable damp squib or disaster the WBA will probably have been filled by then and it may be a while before a job of similar stature arises again.

If he's able to repeat what he's done with Rovers at WBA then he'd get them promoted. A much better base from which to build from.

He’s less confrontational than JDT, but the way he keeps repeating the need for enforcements and now also adding “we were favourites for relegation but look where we are” in pm interviews… we have seen this before, haven’t we..? I.e.:

1. He’s far from sure there will be any good additions to the squad this window.

2. He’s communicating his narrative which highlights to everyone (incl any potential future employers of his) how well he’s done with so few resources available - all very true but which also reflects well on him the day he’s had enough.

Eustace is clever, collected, honest and obviously very good at what he’s doing - in complete contrast to the management and owners of the club - so should not expect him to stay for long.

The last few post-match interviews are quite revealing I think.

Rumours his agent said he didn’t want to be approached as he’s happy at Rovers…….. pinch of salt

Hope the "rumours" are correct.

I have him pegged as someone who's fairly ambitious though, not someone like Mowbray who's only aim is to plod on and feather his nest for as long as possible.

yes based on my opinion. I see no-one who would have improved us.

No quality striker has moved yet or left winger with pace.

the window has opened 3 days ago and the first 2 weeks is slow cos clubs won't sell players until they get one in normally or others reasons. Yes, we would loved 3 signings in we wanted on day 1 of the window like Football Manager 24 but real life isn't that way
