But its Venkys that he will be giving the benefit of the doubt, or not.

His happiness will depend on if he is backed. That is 100% on them, no nonsense about not being asked, if no reasonable budget is forthcoming, then he would be more likely to jump ship, nothing to do with the lapdog messengers.

If Waggott didn't ask for extra funding do you think they would bypass him and ask Eustace directly if he wanted anything? I don't, I don't think they're hands on enough.

Hopefully irrelevant anyway as Waggott stated as per the Fans Forum minutes he had requested funding. IF that's true then it's like you say 100% on them.

We WILL presumably bring some players in though (irrespective of what everyone thinks of their ability)

Why not bring them in now to help the squad?

All depends on a number of factors including like for example the selling club might want a player in before they release him to come here.

Nothing says transfer window like getting updates not that Nixon has linked us to someone. But that Nixon is going to link us to someone and we need a build up of anticipation as if someone has actually signed and ready to be announced.

He linked us to McBurnie last week or the week before. Turned out to be bollocks.

Do you have news who we are after? Do you have any news?

Bollocks? Based on what? What was the full story? Can you share it? Please

Doubt he will have spoken directly to Venky's though. To the extent he has been told anything its probably come from Waggott.

Eustace has said he never spook to Venkys. Waggott appointed him. He deals with Waggott, Pasha and Gestede

I reckon that in the time they have owned the club there have been three managers - Kean, Bowyer and Mowbray - who have had any sort of direct working relationship with the poison, and it is no coincidence that they all had to jump on flights out to India several times a year. They weren't daft or doing it for a free holiday - they knew it was the only way of getting straight to the people that make things happen.

The rest of them - Allardyce, Berg, Appleton, Lambert, Coyle, JDT and Eustace - have had zero direct involvement with the poison and have instead had to deal with them through an array of dodgy individuals acting as middlemen. Unsurprisingly they've had little to no financial backing and have lasted months in the job rather than years.

There is zero prospect of the people that matter in India dealing directly with Eustace. His only hope on that front would to somehow request and be granted an audience with the odious ones. There's nowhere near enough time to be doing that now and it would have to be the summer.

I'm not sure why he would do that when he could instead just put himself forward for a proper job where all this is avoided.

It is on them, 100%, if they put money in/back in. End of.

All these theories about Waggott and Suhail not asking. Just evasion of where the blame lies.

They have been regularly slashing the budget even at times mid transfer window in the last 2 years. So I am not having for one minute that there are potential funds lying there that simply havent been asked for. Even if that was the case, the owners should say here is x amount to spend.

Nixon said we wanted McBurnie. After a press conference when it was asked, it was rubbished in the LT.

I saw an article online claiming Las Palmas were not willing to let him go as they were approaching a crucial phase of the season and felt they needed him themselves etc etc.

So what do we think will be the excuse this year?

Computer froze? 'Forgot' to fill out all pages of contract? Dog ate the contract?

Contract ate the computer and dog couldn’t work the back up fax machine.

Waggot was offsite on an important event (bowling night) whilst Gestede was in Belgium trying to scrounge a plane ticket for a 32 year old striker whose never scored…

But we will appeal and try to get the deal for O’Brien reinstated

Edit: forgot to mention the 5 year extension for O’Riordan before loaning him out to Bamber Bridge

Utility man Jeffrey Schlupp could be on his way to Blackburn Rovers on loan ahead of a full-time exit.

Schlupp, 32, fits the profile Rovers boss John Eustace wants for his squad.

The former Leicester City left-winger is not in the Palace starting line-up but has been used off the bench by Glasner.

He is out of contract at the end of the season and may look for some security.

Blackburn are also checking a move for free agent Ryan Kent in the same position but Schlupp can play left-back as well, making him doubly attractive.

Never been impressed with Kent when I've been flicking through the Sky Channels and happened upon a Rangers game.

Schlupp isn't too bad, do we want to be giving him long term security at age 32 though?

Believe it when I see it etc….but l’ve always liked Schlupp. Quick, attacking full back who’s equally adept on the LW….or at least he was when I last saw him play which was quite a while ago. As long as he’s still got pace he’d be a good signing.

Kent always looked a good un at Rangers.

I used to work with a Rangers fan who waxed lyrical about Kent. A quick Google suggests he might very well be going back there as well.

So you don't whether our interest was real or agent offering him to us but we said no or we enquire about him and his club said no deal?

Its would be loan Rev as my post says. He can play left back and left wing plus played in the championship before. Could be a smart signing

What's your view on these two potential acquisitions chaddy?

Just want to get it on the record because if they go elsewhere we know you'll denounce them as not being good enough for us!

(I'd post a smiley emoticon at this stage if I could to indicate the comment is meant in good humour but the feature doesn't work for me.)

Agreed. I took it to mean, we'd be the ones signing him permanently and giving him the security. If he is available on loan without an obligation to purchase permanently I'd snap him up.

On Ryan Kent, I haven't seen him play for years, so hard to comment

The let rubbished it so it can't  be true?

During the week Eustace said that he had given a list of names he likes to the club but others might have different opinions on who to bring in

Nixon didn't say we would sign Mcburnie, he said the club had enquired about availability and had spoken to McBurnies representatives.

We won't be signing McBurnie but I don't find it a stretch to believe we could have enquired
