I'm bored to death already of seeing the same Cantwell + 2 useless attackers behind a non-scoring striker formations, honestly.

The team basically picks itself due to availability.

Pears

JRC Batth Hyam Beck

Tsquared

Hedges (yuk) Cantwell Dolan (sigh)

Guaye

I've gone for Guaye purely because I think Yuki is better off the bench, and neither seem capable of playing the full 90.

1-1. Cantwell to score.

ACD has been injured for the past 10 days and I suggested Eustace would ease him back into the squad so maybe bench place for Stoke game if he is even fit

I would keep Cantwell on the left, doing what he has been doing roaming over the pitch and drifting into spaces like he has doing for the past 3 games.

Cantwell is our most creative force.

You want him where he will be on the ball the most and where he will pull the strings.  That is in the central number 10 role.

Your thoughts are akin to City playing Haaland out wide on the left or right!

What do you not get?

I dont agree. You don't want him to be in there as starting position but drift and roam into there from the left plus he can stay wide causing the opposition more problems.

Cantwell's best form in his career came playing at Norwich from the left side of the Attack.

What do you not get!!!

2 completely different players. Completely different teams and style of play.

We've scored one goal in the past 3 games

Ideally cantwell would play central but due to us having loads of players for that position and nothing out wide, for this game I’d play cantwell off the left due to him being far better than anything we have out wide  against tough opposition. Baker or Sigurdsson can play central and would be more effective centrally than wide where as at least cantwell can offer something there.

You miss the point I'm making.

Yes, different teams, players and styles but Pep utilises his most potent force where he works best and not shunted out left or right.

Cantwell is our most potent force and he should play where he is on the ball as often as possible in order to pull the strings and that is central 10 and not on the feckin left!  Simple as!

No you missing the point I'm making. He is allow to roam and drift from the left into different positions where he can created. If plays central he would be easier to mark him for the opposition where if he plays from the left he isnt.

Let's just leave it there cos we won't agree. I'm not going forward and back with yourself time after time

Cantwell came out and said at Rangers that he preferred playing centrally after a move there resulted in improved form.

Something needs to change because our current attack is blunt. Give our best player a more central role with less defensive responsibilities and hopefully we can couple that with some pace from a returning ACD over Hedges who is crap, and we might be able to help to have a bit of attacking spark.

Really? You don't understand what Eustace expected from the number 10 and this is to press the ball with the striker but also drop deeper and help out in midfield like Dolan does game after game

Pears

JRC Hyam Batth Bec

Tronstad Travis

Dolan Cantwell Sigurdsson

Ohashi

Won’t have many chances so I’ve gone for a striker that can actually finish.

Who would you rather have there? Someone who can 'press', or someone who can create and put the ball in the chuffin' net?
