Last 2 minutes alone we’ve been in great positions to attack their back line and we fuck it up every time. Lack of quality with final ball or decision every time.

Yep I agree completely with that - but he is the one consistently picking Hedges.

Say it every match thread but we need fast, wide wingers rather than plodding along with Hedges, Dolan, Weimann out there - proper athletes make a difference in this division - we have barely any in our squad.

Why, WHY do we always end up going back to Pears from an attacking position?

 Is this Backwards Rovers FC?

At some point we'll need to spend more than a kitkat and a packet of monster munch on the attack. At this rate we're heading towards a pathetic 2 goals in 6 matches.

Sadly all of the quality has been sold and we've been left with the water carriers who can, at best, do a job.

This is the crux of it. You can see the team is well coached, but there's no quality on the pitch.

Dolan reminds me of the guy in every office 5 a side game who constantly makes awful decisions, normally trying to beat a man rather than passing to his teammate in space

If you are going to punish Sheffield United you need speed. Despite some chances against they are solid at the back. Add in Dolans endless ability to make the wrong decision and we need a miracle to win this. Good thing miracles do happen in football from time to time, but not getting my hopes up.

Cantwell best Rovers player for me by a country mile. Think we need to build the team around him so that they actually move when he has the ball. At least I have beer!

Sheffield utd  are no mugs and will be in the top 6 at the end of the season. We’ve limited them to nothing really.

I  think that was a good half. We’ve done every facet of the game really well apart from a JRC howler and L1 players at the top end of the pitch. That will be the story of our season until we can replace the likes of Hedges and Dolan.

Fucking cunt referee. Piss poor.

The officials aren't costing us this one, but we do get big-teamed a lot by the refs(even in this division) in general.

I think we have played as well as we can. We just don’t have the quality to do any better. Everyone is giving their all for the badge . The lads need our support. This is a very good Sheffield side.

I dream of the day Pep gets a bang on the head and decides to play 442 and the rest of English football does the same.

Any other era and Ohashi & Gueye upfront with Cantwell playing in a free role behind them we'd be lethal in attack (in this league anyway)

Cantwell is the only one with any real quality

Have we ever started with ohashi and Gueye upfront? On paper they'd make the perfect little and large combo.

But nooooo football teams all have to play pretty much the same 1 upfront shite sytem now.

SU apart who play 4 4 2

Rovers are a JRC mistake away from 0-0.

Sheff Utd have size and pace, something that Rovers do not, and it shows. They can play as high as they like defensively as Rovers have nobody who can run in behind.

It's a good job Beck is on Rak-Sakyi's side. He'd run Pickering ragged.

that half also summed up Dolan and Hedges. Early on Dolan has the chance of a break but isn't fast enough to get away, so spins around and loses it. Hedges misses another sitter.

Every pass by Dolan was either late, misdirected or the wrong weight. His pirouette at the end when in acres of space got the crowd onto him finally.

He's a poor man's show pony, and a slow one at that.

Hedges wasn't even trying to get a shot in, he was trying to control it. Idiot. He had to just launch at the ball and try for a first time shot.

He's worse that useless, he takes up a place.

Exactly. And that’s on the owners.
