A bit of a side-track but the 2-3 loss in Mar 2023 was one of the more exciting games under JDT. We played fantastic that day and i really thought we were going to win until their 2nd goal went in. Devasting to lose after leading a stronger team and outplaying them for some long and i think the team lost momentum after that otherwise we would definitely have secured a play-off spot.

Part of me is still watching that effort from Gally (?) deep into the second half strike one post then roll along the goalline to strike the other. Should have known from then on we weren't destined to win!

Please be aware that the club now carry out ticket checks at all games at Ewood Park, including this Saturday's fixture against Sheffield United. Checks on all concession tickets in the three home stands will take place at the turnstiles ahead of the game.

I assume I’ve got the Rovers version of this and that away fans don’t just get to buy whatever tickets they want.

Instead of assuming everyone home fan is trying to cheat the club, why not look at WHY people are getting the cheaper tickets.

I would say that the club already know why, it's just that they don't give a fuck.

Surprised Sky had any interest in this one, as a chap who likes a flutter I keep an eye on the both teams to score markets, 9 out of Sheff Utd's last 10 games, both teams have failed to score. I haven't watched loads of them this season but it points towards a relatively dull game, just need to make sure it's us that score, and Pears doesn't backheel one into his own net.

As an aside, the standard so far in the championship this season seems to be the poorest it's been in many years. Watched Luton/WBA and despite 2 good goals it was pretty dire. Burnley have been absolutely shite this season yet look where they are in the league, I mean we too have been poor a lot of the time and same applies. Frightening to think 3 of these teams are going to be playing in the top flight next season 🤯

Do we play a front three ?

I think we're pretty fluid with what we play and not particularly wedded to anything. We've seen everything from 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, 3-5-2 (5-3-2), 3-4-3 and 4-1-4-1 in games this season. 3-4-3 would actually be a decent fit with the personnel we have

Pretty sure every match I’ve watched this season we’ve been 4-2-3-1

I agree about the standard of football so far this season - not just Rovers. The last 4 games vs Plymouth, Swansea, WBA and Watford provided very little quality, excitement or entertainment from any of the teams involved. I thought Coventry looked decent but look how their season has gone so far !

Maybe the idea of 'staying in the game for 60 minutes' and then making a few like for like subs doesn't encourage exciting football

Dolan starts, I like him and he's a trier but I thought we looked better without him as the focal point given he just doesn't have the end product.

I assume Brittain is still looking for full fitness to not be starting.

Leonard will almost certainly get some minutes and who knows, if he scores today or even puts up a decent performance i think he's got a shot at becoming first choice
