no idea what the new aberdeen manager thellin has been putting in the water up there but aberdeen are playing absolutely brilliant stuff,currently 1-0 up on rangers and just missed a penalty (after another bizarre var decision) 14 straight wins if they can beat rangers tonight,aberdeen for the spl title 😁

I'm well familiar with their new manager, he started at my hometown club before moving into the Swedish top tier and then Aberdeen. Aggressively uncharismatic but tactically shrewd. Last season he completely transformed his team over the off season from a possession-based style into focusing almost completely on counter attacks, and lost the title on the final day against opposition with much more money and resources. I had my doubts over whether he could manage abroad with such a low key personality, but it seems to be working so far.

Tell him that we have a brilliant mid-fielder in Hedges whom we could be persuaded to let go for the right fee and would fit right back in Aberdeen!

Had to double check this and it turns out their paths never crossed at Rovers - Clarkson returned to Liverpool early just as the Jan 2022 window opened and Hedges came in right at the end of it. Clarkson didn't join Aberdeen - initially on loan - until summer 2022.

Still, if Aberdeen can get a tune out of Clarkson perhaps a few more players need a spell in the Granite City!
