RevidgeBlue Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Ohashi is showing up quite well his movement has been very good and he's been finding space well but we need another forward playing close to and off him or vice versa. The two so called wingers are dire. You can see how this is going to go. Having failed to capitalise on our initial dominance, we'll get sucker punched at some point. 1 Quote

We’ve had an ok start tonight but in terms of individuals performances I don’t see anyone who is doing overly well under JE and I imagine that’s down to his style of play/ tactics. There’s a huge technical gulf across the team, which a really good system can mask. I actually see it tonight as playing 4-4-2 out of possession and 3-4-3 with the ball and I don’t hate it. It is something that needs a lot of work clearly, but I don’t hate it for us at home against the likes of Stoke Quote
bazza Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Hedges is no worse than anyone else. Get off his back. 1 2 Quote

He's shocking every week and has done the square root of fuck all ever since he joined the Club. Picks up his wage for nothing like quite a few over the years. 1 Quote
yankfan Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 After all the dominance and failure by Hedges. We could easily be down 1 1 Quote
ItsRoverZ Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 We should of been 1 down wow what a miss from Stoke Quote
Trinidad Rover Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Will we ever score again? Been great this half but it all goes wrong when it gets to their box. Quote

BBD came good under Mowbray. Szmodics never played for Mowbray. Wharton never played for Mowbray (I think) Factually inaccurate comparison. Quote
davulsukur Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Huge let off. Not having anyone who can actually put the ball in the net is putting all our otherwise good work to waste 1 Quote
RutlandRover Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 (edited) Jesus christ I was certain that was in. Shit finish fortunately! Edited November 6, 2024 by RutlandRover Quote
bluebruce Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Christ that was lucky. Sort of side note, but relevant there, I wish Pears wouldn't over-commit to his near post. Does it nearly every time. Quote
yankfan Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Gallagher (out injured) looking more likely to score against us than we are to get one. Quote
RutlandRover Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Fucks sake little things like that annoy the hell out of me. Hyam with back to goal and no-one around him just hoofs it back over his head to no-one. What's the point? Just bring the ball down and play a simple pass, keep possession. 1 Quote

G Somerset Rover Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 I think we may have / be about to, break the 400 minute mark without a goal. Some achievement, boys. 2 Quote

Brereton was there under Mowbray, he didn’t reach his best performances until JDT came in and he played under him. szmodics came from Peterborough at around age 26/27, never performed like he did until playing under JDT - he’s said himself in interviews JDT is the best manager he’s had who improved him as a player a Wharton - exactly, Mowbray didn’t necessarily see how good he was. His opportunity came through JDT Nothing about that comparison is factually incorrect Quote
Forever Blue Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Really good half for the most part, but as ever we lack quality where it matters. We’ll probably lose 1-0 Quote

But there have definitely been goals he was at fault for. Edited November 6, 2024 by bluebruce 3 Quote
Upside Down Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Liking the way we've started here. 1 Quote
Andy Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 I think that's been a really good first 30 minutes, with the other 15 not being too shabby either. Ironically, Stoke should be a goal up with the one attack they've had. Cantwell is superb and he's not even fully match fit yet. Some of the football in that first 30 reminded me of the best stuff under JDT, particularly with the fullbacks taking up the wide positions. We do need to win this though if we have any ambitions of achieving anything this season. 1 Quote
