Been able to defend all our defeats this season, this is the worst one and will get rightfully slaughtered for it. Embarrassing loss at home

This one is the most depressing, but looking at it impartially for a moment, the main difference by far has been Stoke's keeper. As I said before, utterly different scoreline if we swapped goalies, we'd have ran riot.

(Not that Pears has even had a stinker)

Worst squad of the Venkys era?

Better squad than JDT had last season in my opinion. Potentially could argue Szmodics nullifies that but Cantwell, Ohashi, Beck would all be starters last season (Weimann and Baker squad filler, Gueye shit, not seen Toth or ACD) whilst Szmodics, Gallagher (always crocked) and loans left.

We had bloody Garrett starting for us and Markanday as our hope from the bench last year.

Whoever Broughtons replacement was (was it David Brent himself?) signed a load of players, albeit for the price of a loaf of bread.

January 2023 was when Venkys, Waggott and Broughton fucked it all up.

edit: should add post-Jan when Wharton was already gone and we collapsed down the table

The fuck was Dolan doing then? A chance to strike the ball and he spent 20 seconds rolling the ball backwards and forwards then backheels it out for a goal kick.

He's a brainless twerp

I think Rovers have played very well. A lot more enthusiasm than a few earlier games. But nothing seems to go our way. Very unlucky to lose this one. Their keeper had a blinder.

If we keep up this kind of effort surely we will start scoring. Cracking game to watch.

Don't worry as soon as a decent bid comes in for Cantwell in January, our only player worthy of watching, venkys will sell. I wouldn't blame him, he's far too good for this shower of shit.

He was good first half, disappeared without trace second half.

Bit of a show pony for me, looks flashy but it's mostly all window dressing. He's hardly a 27 goal machine like Szmodics who let's face it was the only thing that kept us up by the skin of our teeth last season.

Unbelievable their keeper has won it for them we could should have been 3/4 1 up at one point onto Cardiff gotta give it a go down there. But fucking hell fire the Big Mac has to score that header Jesus Christ RTID

Not sure what Brittain is moaning to the ref about. Look in the mirror, and tell some of your teammates, Waggott and the owners to do the same.

He created two great opportunities for yuki

Buy from the bargain shelf, get bargain shelf players.

We've played much worse than this and won this year. We all know who's fault this is. £40 million or so in and the manager is picking up the patients of Witch Doctors and 37 year olds on frees.

Venkys strangling us, Eustace keeps us up polishing this turd and he's done his job (depressing).

On a plus side Cantwell oozed class tonight, a joy to watch.

He was never going to be. His job is to create which to be fair we largely are doing. It's not his fault our strikers are National League level at best.

Fucking hell just seen we are only 4 points off the bottom 3, we are heading that way for sure

I think we're going to be in a relegation scrap sooner than people think - although scrap would imply fighting for survival, and since we have apparently forgotten how to put round object into the vicinity of the net... well, it ain't going to be much of a fight.

Venky's have once again destroyed the club, roughly a decade on from the first time they took a wrecking ball to the squad. Once we go down this time I don't think we come back as easily as 2017/18, though.

Tonight has underlined the value of a very good goalie.

Pears is a liability, always has been always will.  Cost us our second goal on Sauturday by saving and pushing the ball directly in front of him - contrast to how Stoke's keeper deals with such saves and pushes the ball to the sides.

The time for Toth is overdue.

Pears was not the problem tonight

We all knew Johansson would be a wall..... you all saw it last season....our garbage strikers would never score against him......Szmodics loss looking even more crucial.... with Szmodicz we could had been a top 5 side this season.

Yeah we definitely played well across the centre of the pitch... But if you cant score and give away cheap goals alarms bells should be ringing...

Ohashi, Gueye and Leonard all missed absolute sitters.

I know all that, said it many times. But in this game we really haven’t had the breaks.

OK. But what breaks haven't we had? Apart from Ohashi's slip, I've only seen our shit "strikers" typically unable to capitalise on some good attacking play - almost exclusively by Cantwell, self-inflicted defensive errors for the millionth time, a goalkeeper who we know is very good have a really good game, which happens, and a formation set up once again to leave a (average, at best) lone striker isolated, whilst two holding midfielders sit in front of one of the worst back 4s in the league.

We were set up for this and it has happened several times. That isn't much about breaks. It's decisions.

Much better performance BigMac and Leonard both should have scored.  Excellent performance from Stokes keeper, less than a mill for that?  Should have had 5.  Now is worry time.

Yeahhhhh.... fuck off Stoke. Timewasting zzzz

Incredible that we can't score, but there's a reason why we haven't for four straight games now. Really embarrassing stuff. Not enough bodies in the box until late in the second half, Johansson then started making some insanse saves and a 10/10 performance really. This one and the Watford defeat hurts.
