Bit of a show pony for me, looks flashy but it's mostly all window dressing. He's hardly a 27 goal machine like Szmodics who let's face it was the only thing that kept us up by the skin of our teeth last season. Placed a cross on Gueye’s forehead about a yard out, a lot of through balls to direct chances and constantly retaining the ball against the odds approaching their defensive third. He’s head, shoulders, waist and heels above the rest of the squad. Effort was unexpectedly high, the way he’s been pitched to me by Norwich fans was as a mard arse but nothing approaching that tonight. 15 Quote

But nothing seems to go our way. Very unlucky to lose this one. Their keeper had a blinder. If we keep up this kind of effort surely we will start scoring. Cracking game to watch. How is losing at home a cracking game to watch. I don't know if your comment is just sarcasm, as I was not there. 2 Quote

neophox Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 That Stoke side was terrible....except Johansson..... but its not a good sign if you cant beat this shit sides at home. Quote

onlyonejackwalker Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 We missed two absolute sitters and a myriad of half chances. Top save off Dolan. Enjoyed watching Cantwell. 1 Quote

neophox Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Johanssons save on Dolan, Travis and Weimanns chances was astonishing good. Quote
rovers11 Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 I don't blame Eustace too much as what more could he do tonight. The attacking players at his disposal are shocking. The blame falls squarely at the owners. We all know this club is finished until we get new owners. 4 Quote
superniko Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 £40m brought in and pennies spent - still can’t be long for the next finance release showing us a suspicious yearly -£20m hole and small gene pool lads telling us we should be grateful for Venkys and we’d be Bury without them etc etc. 4 Quote

Torgeir Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 A draw away at Cardiff and a win at home to Pompey vital now. Don't think we'll get anything out of the other two matches vs. Boro and Leeds. Clear-cut penalty for me by the way. Wanted Leonard on before Gueye, and even though they both missed sitters, Leonard has a nose for sniffing out chances that our other players don't. Where are the goals going to come from going forward? Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Think people are exaggerating the Stoke keeper's performance. He made a few good saves you'd hope your keeper would make, not much more than that. Quote

You don't stick humpty dumpty in goal just to be there. They are supposed to make good saves. Unless you're rovers of course. Our expectations of keepers are so low. We think a good save is world class. Edited November 6, 2024 by AAK 1 Quote
neophox Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Its start looking like JDT era....starts well then decline..... the mentality at the club is horrendous.... nothing will help except getting the inept owners out.... 3 Quote

LDRover Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 I really want to see a comprehensive analysis of how Gueye contrived to miss that sitter as he did. It would make for great punditry. Quote
