Class act. And even though you associate creativity more with things like through balls, he also stuck that cross right on Gueye's head. 6 Quote

Those are things that should be a given for a footballer, the default, we've been spoilt with them in the past. He's working with little around him. That’s Buckley’s game too but sadly doesn’t seem to have the mentality to apply it, for whatever reason. 1 Quote

Ghost7 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 There's an old saying buy cheap buy twice... which Rovers are likely going to keep on experiencing. Wahlstedt, Telalovic... Gueye... and Toth might be the same. From what I can see Wahlstedt is 3rd choice for his team in Sweden, he doesn't make the match day squad and is behind Klaesson and Jasper Hansen. You can argue the same for players like Hedges and Pickering. We still need a good winger and a better permanent left back. 4 Quote

Jimmy612 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Just moving away from matters on the pitch, what a travesty the atmosphere is at Ewood these days. The last 12 years of constant decline has just completely sucked the life out of the fanbase, not just the obvious drop in attendances, but the complete lethargy and hopelessness that everyone feels. The most excited the Blackburn end got was to fairly inexplicably boo Phillips and chant 'one greedy bastard'. The state our club is in, I'd have fucked off too, and not bothered to sign the senior contract to which he had absolutely no obligation. The less said about the Yuki song the better. How have we ended up with another variation of Hey Baby 🤮 Such a shame, and once again it lands squarely at the feet of the owners. They don't deserve the few thousand that do still bother to turn up. 5 Quote
neophox Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 We need Sigurdsson in ... he can score goals. May be the best striker at the club at the moment. 1 Quote

I watched it on TV and IMO Rovers actually played a hell of a lot better than they have done over the last 5 or 6 games. We swung the ball from wing to wing. We put loads of crosses in. We just didn't get the luck we deserved. Their keeper had a world class display. We've been crying out for crosses and a faster tempo to our game and, tonight, that's what we got. As I said, good game and unlucky to lose. When chances such as we had are missed, I don't class that as unlucky. I have never watched the Rovers lose a game, and thought that was a good game to watch. Everyone to their own. 2 Quote

Could've called that before he went out for the presser, it's his style to ignore the obvious negatives and remain positive regardless, not the approach I'd take and highly frustrating to read but he's a long way from our biggest problem.. that's them Venky cunts 1 Quote

Don't understand this criticism of cantwell, he created two great chances one for ohashi and one for gueye. The gueye one he couldn't have put it more on a plate for him. He's taking the ball, carrying it, giving it the wide players in good areas. Putting great through balls and crosses in. He's really not an issue. He won't be here that long, he's too good for this team. 2 Quote

davulsukur Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Considering we had 10 more shots (25) than Stoke (15), we still only managed 1 more (8) on target than they did (7). Wasteful. Quote

Surely one of better quality would have been more logical. I know you need 4 but having 3 decent (ha ha) is better than having 2 duds as cover. Quote
