We passed it back to him 8 times. He only had to get one wrong and its a goal for them not us.

Yes, I counted. I know what I'd have been muttering for the first 30 passes too.

I can't pretend that this "reward" happens often enough ....or that it is worth all the "risk" and...well..er boredom!

Its time rovers put in more practice on the training ground with Ohashi and Gueye, putting the ball in the back of the net.

I thought Ohashi's general play was good. He really put the effort in. But he can't "lead the line" and that's what we are missing.

I think Ohasi is a real asset in the right set-up.

Haven't they been doing that given Eustace's comments about Keith Downing working with both.

Given there is 2 weeks break Gueye can work on things but Ohashi is away with Japan

The relationship between football on tv and crowds is quite strange... I think its hard to really draw a direct correlation but if any is made you can argue that the more football is on tv the crowds actually seem to go up. Seen that over the years in the Championship, Premiership and Champions League. Doesn't seem a zero sum thing at all.

For me the kickoff time is much more the issue rather than games being on tv.

If all Rovers games were on TV and we put some decent performances together I could see it driving up the numbers attending games much more than good performances unseen by those who couldn't be there...

For the PL there’s a correlation as it’s elite level football with elite level profile. It can withstand fans being messed about, comes with the territory. People want to be part of it, to be associated with it. It’s showbiz.

However, at this level, we haven’t before seen anything like the number of live matches, now, what, 14/15 games out of 23 will be live on TV? At all manner of inconvenient times. In this anything but elite division it will give a lot of ST holders across the Championship (especially at middling clubs) something to think about in future summers.

Personally I love the 12:30 kick off times as I can stay up to watch the match if I'm in the mood.

It's a shame that whenever we play midweek it's an automatic forfeit of the game because they're on at even better times.

The total lack of respect shown to the match going support is going to be nothing other than detrimental to the game.

all depends what the games are. If Rovers were playing at 3pm and our next opponent was playing at 12.30 I would watch the first half before setting off to Ewood.

Given the problems of traffic accidents on motorways and the amount of roadworks on the motorway during the night(after 8pm-10pm) upgrading the roads and surrounding areas an early kick off would help this.

Is 6.30am silly set off time either. Cos I don't agree there. If I had been travelling down to Cardiff on the day for 3pm kick off I would set off around 7am anyway and get some breakfast on the way plus a stop at service station for toilet break and stretch of the legs given its around 4 hours drive

As long as it suits you. Thats the main thing.

A non public transport user, who sets off to away games earlier than necessary anyway, who doesnt have kids playing Saturday football and who likes to have the option to do half a match of pre Rovers scouting.

It's yourself who has massive problem with games being moved for TV coverage and the role that TV plays within Football whilst I have accept its role within football. So I take it you have taken a stance to not watch any football matches that has been moved for TV coverage or watch any Champions League games then?

I always set off early for games cos of possible traffic problems or accidents, but always to get some food on the way. I take you don't drive then judging by your comments above.

I like to watch different football matches and that why I have partially have my Sky Sports subscription and Sky TV.

I don;'t watch any Champions League matches. Have no interest at all. I'll bet I'm not the only one either.

Reminds me how broke Rovers are for a start.

I’ve no idea because I haven’t watched any CL outside a free to air final on YouTube for years, but are fans taking to this convoluted Super League through the back door ‘Swiss model’?

Now seems even more pointless to pay any attention until the KOs… but still, think of the 💰 💰 💰

credit where credit is due, Eustace got this one bang on. Subs were good to.

I think we are still 2 wingers of pace and quality short of a playoff push. But you never know. In all honesty its another 3 points closer to 50 points!

In all fairness he got the tactics right against Stoke but was let down by our piss poor squad.

Much the same as JDT, if he was given a proper budget to work with he'd most likely get us up.

He won't be given any budget though.

You think Gueye, at circa £1.5m, is a good signing?!

Right place, right time though😉

I thought he was going to be, saw a lot of promise in his early days but my goodness he kooks worse everytime I see him play.  Why does JE not consider giving him and Ohashi minutes together.  Start knoking some high balls in and see if Ohashi can feed off BigMac knockdowns.  However after witnessing BMacs missed header maybe he not so good with his head either.  He should have had that

We play some fantastic football, when we put our minds to it.

We just need most if it to go toward our opponents goal instead of our own.  Man that crap does me head in.

I know, as obviously ST sales were pretty much concluded across the EFL before games were getting underway under this new deal, which is why I said..

‘EFL crowds are at record levels not seen since the 1950s’

… and

The proof will be in the pudding in two/three years time when and if ST numbers and ergo gates generally have declined across the patch.

I think numbers will drop as people become sick of paying thru the nose to be bored to death with sideways backwards football.  If I was just starting out watching footy I would probably be a Rugger fan.  Cricket even.

So we have 2 wingers, who do they cross to?

Since TV is in the discussion.  Any other American based RoversTv subscribers not allowed to view the Cardiff game?  Ir was it just me?  Told me I was in an unauthorized Country.

I think that applies to me also. It’s a totally different game to what I grew up watching and playing. I watch my local rugby league team now and the excitement/commitment levels are much higher. And that’s from guys who are on about £400 a game.

He got the header down for Weimann wonder goal just right.

Yeah I honestly don't know why this wouldn't be tried. Is seems like an obvious thing to do.

What do we know about first rate strike partnerships though....
