Exiled_Rover
Weimann at #9. Good lord. I'm glad I'm playing 5 a side tonight instead.

RevidgeBlue
That's a shocking line up. Really negative. What a vote of confidence for Leonard.

Foogy when I left Preston. 🤞 for good news when I check the score later on.

Presume youll mock Eustace as much as you have done me for suggesting it in the absence of a Championship standard striker? Not the number 9 I would pick one bit. I stand by by picking Leonard

He is the one that scored at the weekend. You want a place, earn it. Leonard and Mac need to prove they can finish consistently if they want to start consistently

The proof of the pudding etc .....but yes pre-match I agree 100%. Don't play players out of their natural positions.

I stand by by picking Leonard I thought Leonard did some good things at the weekend. Should have scored but he needs to take those chances and make the position his. He didn’t do that on Saturday

Agreed. Risky move.
BankEnd Rover
Gueye is ineffective when starting games, he tires and just gets in the way. He's is much better coming off the bench. Weimann will tire to but at least he has an eye for goal, bring Gueye on after around 70minutes.
yeti-dog
I don't like that lineup. We're at home and it feels too staid and defensive. If we aren't going to start Cozier- Duberry at home against a team in the relegation zone then will it happen? I'd probably also have started JRC in front of Buckley. Disappointing, and I hope it doesn't backfire.

He would definitely be highlighting the lack of strikers when interviewed after.

Here's hoping JE has put itching powder in our front players' boots. Now come on Rovers. Send the Pompey Chimes a ringing message to take back to Portsmouth Dooks this evening. Angry_Pirate
The very next game after a "Home Sellout" and this is looking like one of the more disastrous attendances of the past decade. Resemblance of a 1st Round League Cup tie vs a L2 team (with 12 mins till KO). YES, I know it's rearranged; a night game just after Xmas; expensive ticket prices; foggy/"cold"; road issues on the M65; and - of course - the Venkys... but damn. Bronzed A Donis
Is it that shocking that our 2nd top scorer (low bar) and the player who has more Championship goals than the rest of our forwards added up and multiplied is starting up top? It's not Bradley Johnson.
waynerovers
Hopefully we can take advantage of this game in hand and reclaim 5th.

The Dolan / Hedges defensive solidity seems to work at the moment.
