Torgeir Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Thank you Callum! And well done to Batth for some great defending and to Eustace for making adjustments. Get in! 3 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted January 15 Backroom Posted January 15 (edited) Big win, especially as this is the type of game we'd normally slip up in. Back into the playoff places. Edited January 15 by DE. 4 Quote
jim mk2 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 First win in 6 and rode our luck but we didn’t deserve to lose the Burnley game so let’s take it. Disappointing crowd of 13,000 half that of Burnley game. 2 Quote

yeti-dog Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Well. Didn't see that coming. Quite a scrappy game and didn't feel like a 3-0. Kudos who slipped the ref a few quid before the game - we got ALL the big decisions! I'm liking this seasons version of Brittain - he was superb. Tronstad, solid as a rock again. What a first touch/ tackle by Sanderson. Good stuff!!! 1 Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Great win in the end that. Fair play. Quote

What goes around, comes around.....finally. Well done the players that have capitalised on some favourable decisions with style. Way it works for us we are probably getting all our luck in one game though! Tbh, I'm not sure that was offside, need to see it again. And I did see the second penalty claim again, no pen for me. Didn't see the first claim. Edit - scratch that, definitely offside, not sure how the linesman missed it. Edited January 15 by bluebruce Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Got away with one there, starting with completely the wrong line up. Now let's get some bloody money spent and back the manager. For the benefit of RF 99 Gueye is closing in fast on Gallagher's tally of 3 for the entire season. Lol. 3 Quote

moerpho Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Different team after the subs. Gueye really made a difference today. In hindsight perhaps Eustace was right with his lineup to spare some players considering games coming up. Brilliant 3 points and good to get some goals. Brittains was a peach. Think he also is my man of the match. Onwards and upwards! Back in fifth. Oxford next brimming with confidense. Long may it continue and pretty please buy some players! Quote

Plus a host of other decisions that went our way (a soft booking aside). 2 Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) Definitely seemed like it was going to be one of those night and Pompey would nick it. Especially with the amount of free kicks we conceded in our own half. Think we're going to struggle to keep hold of Callum Brittain in summer...Simply outstanding again. Shout outs to Gueye with yet another unbelievable cameo off the bench - He changed the game for me. Dubbery, although looks abit loose at times, is more effective going forward than Dolan. Trinidad Rover Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) Sanderson channelling his inner Mokoena….the axe MKII Glorious! Excellent result. Cantwell had a hand in all 3, needs quality round him. Gueye played well, though he should have scored the Weiman chance. Britain MOTM Edited January 15 by Trinidad Rover 6 Quote
Popular Post SpaceBarSlam Posted January 15 Popular Post Posted January 15 Brittain is so important to the way we set up at both ends of the pitch. PotM performance tonight. 10 Quote
Popular Post onlyonejackwalker Posted January 15 Popular Post Posted January 15 26 games, 11 clean sheets. Brilliant how we are so committed and organised defensively. I love our centre half's and full backs. Let's be honest, we've had the rub of the green today. They should have scored first half and should have had a penalty second half. We lose this game on a different day. But i'm a Rovers fan so I dont care. Brilliant from Cantwell and Brittain 2nd half. Gueye and ACD made a big difference. Sanderson looked robust and Forshaw looked tidy. Good effort from the Portsmouth fans. 10 Quote
yankfan Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Excellent 3 points. Brittain man of the match. Get in! Looked much better when Hedges and Dolan came off. Not sure how many chances hedges should get, think he’s proven he’s just a squad player. Quote
norwichblue Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Just seen the highlights back again. That is some ball from Brittain for the opener. Third looked offside haha. Great win boys! 2 Quote
neophox Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Brittains been excellent. With him and Beck at fullbacks we look solid! Batth had a really good game and has been influential this season. Gueye and Super Mario coming on changed the setup and an easy win in the end. Now back the manager and get some solid strikers in. Rumours Asante-Thomas and Kargbo could be on their way to Ewood. 1 Quote

neophox Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Pompey players just tried to get penalties...watched the game and can say they tried their best but the referee stood firm at least. 2 1 Quote

philipl Posted January 15 Posted January 15 We can point to the ref homing and them hitting the bar but it should have been academic had we taken the two chances in the first 15 minutes 2 Quote
