Countries from outside of Europe. If we are playing friendlies we could choose to play when is convenient for us. The allocated times for internationals, are for Nations league games. I have not seen anything that dictates when friendlies must be played.

But the South American, Asian and Oceanic countries are currently playing World Cup qualifiers, the African nations are playing African Nations Cup qualifiers and the Central American nations are playing in their own Nations League. So you are left with the likes of Brunei and Hong Kong to play against !  Tuchel would not be impressed.

That is why it would be important to be able to pick when we play. Just choose dates when opponents are not involved in such tournaments.

International football has to be played during specific windows. Inside FIFA

They are bigger than the pointless nations league. I havent seen anyone suggest that they should get rid of World Cups and Euros.

lets cut down the number of games in the champions league and the other 2 Euro club competitions, just have a straight 2 legged knockout tournaments like in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Scrapped the club world cup also. I would also scrapped the nations league and 2 less international games windows but bring back friendlies.

I really enjoyed the England Greece game. Thought Curtis Jones's performance was excellent and I enjoyed seeing us have a different squad.

Hopefully we see Lewis Hall more at left back going forward.

Lewis Hall plays for Newcastle, Morgan Rogers plays for Villa and Rico Lewis for Man City

We played friendlies in the periods now set aside for the Nations League

It's strange, it might be my memory, but I don't recall as many interruptions to league fixtures as there are now.

Such as....

And I wasn't talking about England the country I was talking about being English specifically. What's so great about being English as opposed to being Norwegian or Dutch or Vietnamese?

I love being English and British, proud to display my country flag out of my house. Always have been to be English and British.

Just look around English and Great Britain, they are loads of things to be proud off.

for me, I don't think Tuchel will move away from us playing 4-2-3-1 formation but for me, where will he play Palmer and Bellingham? Will Kane be his number 9? How will his 2 holding midfielders looks like? Will TAA play right back?

my squad for Tuchel first games would be

Keepers - Pickford Ramsdale, Pope

Right back - Alexander-Arnold, James

Centre back - Stones, Guehi, Colwill, Konsa, Tomori

Left back - Hall, Lewis

centre midfielders - Rice, Gallagher, Jones, Gomes, Mainoo

Attacking midfielders - Palmer, Bellingham, Gordon, Saka, Foden, Madueke, Grealish, Eze, Gibbs-White

Strikers - Kane, Watkins, Solanke

That's not an answer, you've just repeated the same meaningless guff you posted before.

I'm going to repeat the question once more.

What's so great about being English as opposed to being Norwegian, Dutch or Vietnamese?

If England were genuine about winning trophies the media would pay attention to the U21s and other youth levels a lot more. That's the stepping stone for many players and where the winning ability and mentality is developed - though, admittedly, the best few will by-pass it.

England U21 just drew 0-0 in Spain and, it seems from highlights and reports, got battered. The result could have been 6-2, with England not hitting the target once and Spain fluffing many chances. And the FA's title for their Youtube video highlights? "Jobe impresses on first start".

It's all very well paying eye-watering sums for managers of the national team, but most of the work is at the lower levels.

I am proud to be English/British and being Born in Blackburn and being Blackburn Rovers supporter. I am proud to wear my colours anywhere overseas.

People are just proud of their roots and born where they are. If you aren't fine Oki doki. If I was born in Spain or American I would have been proud to be that nationality, But I am proud Englishman and always will be

Don' get me going on that one. I had to go into Blackburn Town Hall once to ask them what the problem was that they were having with pirates. They looked at me as though I had just arrived from Mars. "Your flying a sign of distress", I said.

The Union Flag on top of the Town hall is upside down !

My workmate and myself got fired for flying it the wrong way up on the main building of the place we were both working at. The Royal Navy representatives were  visiting and one of the officers spotted it. The MD fired us but the works manager said - Don’t worry about it lads, just go on nights for a couple of shifts, he’ll have forgotten by then “.

Good to see Samie starts for Republic of Ireland. Remember seeing his expressions at Stanley in pre season friendly. Has a smile on his face now.

Well done Samie.

We need to be making more use of him, not sure he is properly appreciated yet.
