In terms of who goes first it can't really be any fairer than 50/50 can it?

When I watch back some shootouts it's amazing how far the keepers came off their lines which they wouldn't get away with now.

But I do agree that the balance has swung a bit far in favour of the taker, with how they now do the feints in the run up.

How to address it though? Would you allow keepers to move off the line?

Could potentially alternate the takers to reduce the advantage and swing the pressure a bit to even it out. I know it was trialled in some places but I'm unsure what the conclusions were.

For the pens themselves - keepers have to stay on the lines as they do now, outfielders have to run in one motion and just kick the ball. Seems the fairest way to me. No funny business, just a one on one. Outfielder should score more often than not anyway.

Totally agree. People think we’re Brazil 1970.

We’re getting to semi finals consistently now. This is unheard of for England in 100 years of major tournament football.

Wait until we lose and Roverandout will be back to saying Southgate is shit, get him out.

Honestly, considering how insipid England are going forwards I can see them seriously struggling against either of these teams.

We'd beat Turkey quite comfortably. We won't beat the Netherlands unless we seriously up our game.

We create absolutely nothing and Turkey attack better than any team we've faced. I've seen nothing to say we could beat anyone comfortably. But I agree, the Dutch are a level above what we've seen.

dutch move the ball quickly and have width, the polar opposite to us which should make for an interesting game, they are excellent in defence as well
