AspRover Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 From his own error to be fair, but yeah Guehi is one of the only players to come out of both games with a lot of credit, he looks decent. 1 Quote

Backroom DE. Posted June 20, 2024 Backroom Posted June 20, 2024 A good team would have torn us a new one tonight. Feels like 2010, where we'll get through on the back of multiple poor performances and then get crushed by the first decent team we face. 6 Quote
matt83 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 (edited) Poor collectively and individually. Manager got it wrong. AGAIN. He’s been fortunate/blessed to be managing such a group of players and not because of him we’ve bumbled to the latter rounds in recent tournaments. Got help us if they were worse he wouldn’t improve them. Another “golden generation” looks to be wasted. Edited June 20, 2024 by matt83 Quote
Cherry Blue Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 With Kane's alround ability it was a mistake to take him off. 1 1 Quote

Ewood Ace Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 The ending there sums England's performance up no urgency, passing the ball backwards with second's to go rather than putting it in the box. The ref was probably England's best performer Quote

Which is bonkers when you look at the players we have at our disposal. Imagine being Palmer, scoring for fun and watching Eze and Bowen come on before you. Baffling. Quote

Cherry Blue Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 To think me and 6 million others rushed back home to watch that shower. Times up for Southgate. Quote

He wouldn't play for me - clogs up the midfield and offers zero outlet upfront. We need pace to run in behind, which would open up everything for Saka / Bellingham / Foden / Palmer to run riot. 1 Quote

In a way it's perversely impressive how Southgate has made a group of very exciting, attacking players utterly painful to watch. Edited June 20, 2024 by DE. 1 Quote

Backroom DE. Posted June 20, 2024 Backroom Posted June 20, 2024 I did chuckle at the BBC interviewer just bluntly asking Walker "does the manager tell you to just sit back after scoring?", lmao. Quote
Andy Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Result is fine, performance was horrible. Denmark are not a very good team, but they should have beaten us tonight. Tactically inept, selection woeful. Gordon and Palmer should have played tonight - and, all Rovers bias included - Wharton would have been a much preferable option to Gallagher. Things won't get better until Southgate pisses off. 1 Quote

At this stage I don’t care which it is. Quote
