A good team would have torn us a new one tonight. Feels like 2010, where we'll get through on the back of multiple poor performances and then get crushed by the first decent team we face.

Poor collectively and individually. Manager got it wrong. AGAIN. He’s been fortunate/blessed to be managing such a group of players and not because of him we’ve bumbled to the latter rounds in recent tournaments. Got help us if they were worse he wouldn’t improve them. Another “golden generation” looks to be wasted.

Which is bonkers when you look at the players we have at our disposal.

Imagine being Palmer, scoring for fun and watching Eze and Bowen come on before you. Baffling.

Golden generation? This crop aren’t a patch on the actual ‘golden generation’.

With Kane's alround ability it was a mistake to take him off.

He wouldn't play for me - clogs up the midfield and offers zero outlet upfront. We need pace to run in behind, which would open up everything for Saka / Bellingham / Foden / Palmer to run riot.

In a way it's perversely impressive how Southgate has made a group of very exciting, attacking players utterly painful to watch.

True but they called them the new one today and I thought Jesus wept.

Result is fine, performance was horrible.

Denmark are not a very good team, but they should have beaten us tonight.

Tactically inept, selection woeful.
Gordon and Palmer should have played tonight - and, all Rovers bias included - Wharton would have been a much preferable option to Gallagher.

Things won't get better until Southgate pisses off.

You either play to his strengths or you don’t play him at all.

At this stage I don’t care which it is.
