I guess we have to put it down to players wanting to avoid injury.  Iceland were far more up for it. But Southgate wastes so many chances to make positive calls. There's no need for rice to play 90 minutes.  Wharton was excellent when he came on on Monday gets left out entirely this game for a very average mainoo. Toney should have started the game.  Eze should have been used more. I can't wait to see the back of him

Thought TAA looked lively when he came on. No other noteworthy performances. Gordon looked a handful but end product was poor.
