Glad the brave souls that went up to Middlesbrough will have a happy time coming home ☺️

Could hear them loud and clear on the TV. Hope the win kept them warm!

It's not about the position of the player playing the ball, but the player receiving it and the trajectory of the ball.

If the cross had been a sideways ball, it could never be offside.

But Hyam was behind the last defender and the ball is played forward, so it's offside.

David Dunn said ONSIDE! 😁

Get in! A fantastic, composed performance and what a move to win it. Superb football to cut them up. I had a feeling we'd shut them out and take it 1-0.

It's all well and good scoring five and six against Luton and Oxford, but this is Blackburn Rovers you're up against! A different proposition altogether.

There's still life in this Football Club yet and every now and then we see signs of it. Imagine what our club can achieve without the bastards that are currently holding us back.

An enjoyable evening. Shout out for the lads at the back who were excellent, throwing themselves in the way of everything and fair play to Hyam for being the match winner. COYB.

Venky's Out.

Waggott Out.

From memory we don’t win many mid-week away games.
I’m sure those shocking stats have appeared on here at times.

Eustace seems to have a knack of winning matches we don’t expect and long may it continue!

The last mid week away win was late last year (i think), then we go and win 2 away in a row against an inform team.

It's the rovers way, we are truly backwards and will lose to lower opposition... today however, I'm happy about our backwards ways

The Sky commentator was going on about how it shows how you never know in this league, we were only 5 points behind them pre kick off, hardly David vs Goliath stuff

If my Auntie had bollocks she’d be my Uncle. But Venky’s.

Not sure you've got that phrase quite right for this context but, yeah, never gonna get any attacking quality under Venkys. They cost too much £££

We shouldn't be too surprised if what the BBC said before the game, that they hadn't beaten us at

their place for 12 years.

Still I am very surprised, I thought they'd be far too quick for us.

Very well done the lads, now onto Leeds on Saturday, they've won 3 on the bounce too and scored plenty.

Let's see what happens eh.

i think leeds will have to much fire power ,it`s a freeroll for us,stop them winning and it`s a great result

Great win, its weird how we always do well at the Riverside, I didn't go tonight but think we've won on all my previous visits even when playing poor.

Got very lucky with the goal, slightly tarnishes it that it was offside but I'll take it. Following Cardiff and that goal plus a few moves tonight I think a few of the players are getting more on TC's wavelength. In the early days he was just playing with complete strangers, excited to see this develop further. Just a shame TC's goal was offside too, although Dolan taking 3 working days to play the ball didn't help....

Boro were really poor, although their missing players will no doubt have been a factor. Leeds will offer way more going forward. Still, defend like we did tonight and you never know.

JE may well be getting ideas about a little link up on that left side having Pickering AND Beck on the pitch, it might just work too....

That result takes the pressure off the Leeds game. Boro and Leeds, people would have settled for two draws, we already have three points

Agreed, we are in credit no matter what happens on Saturday.

One of those grounds where we seem to pick up results.

And 3 points against Pompey would have had us in 6th place.

True, but maybe the postponement actually helped this evening?
