v Middlesbrough (a) - 27/11/2024

Good half from us. No real sustained pressure from Boro and we've kept them pretty quiet and they should be down to 10 men. Travis and Trondstad working well again.

Dolan should spend less time doing floppy flappy tricks in training and spend 20 minutes watching the Kuqi goal against boro that was posted earlier, double detention for him and Gueye.

Attack impotent. Dolan should never start, Ohashi busy but struggles to impact the play. Hedges contributes very little, Cantwell raises expectations when he gets the ball but has made a few sloppy passes today. Travis quiet. Brittain off his game today.
Fortunately the defence/midfield have been solid. 0-0 a fair score.

Quite pleased with how we've played, in a tricky away game.

But Dolan really has been the weak point in the side.

Not just the missed header from a few yards out, but misplaced passes and soft possession loss.

A couple of pages moaning about Dolan missing a chance and not a single word about Cantwell who has given the ball away countless times.

edit: except when I was typing!

Sometimes I wonder if we’ve had an influx of LET/Facebookers on here 🙄😂

Both of them villains, and the likes of Brittain being in a crossing position with men in the box, then deciding to pass backwards to a player in a worse position. Or the numerous times a player just outside of the box hasn't taken a shot.
If you're in a shooting position just shoot, test the keeper, get them jangled.

I guess it’s because generally Cantwell has been decent all season and Dolan has only been decent 1 in every 10 matches or thereabouts.

They’ve been coached out it maybe? We’ve no one to cross it in the in box to, so might be worth having a dig!

As is the case for most of our players. We have a squad of championship plodders. Singling out Dolan constantly isn’t just. Believe it or not, he doesn’t miss sitters on purpose.

No one ever said he does it on purpose! You can never fault his effort(which is why him and Hedges get in the team).

He’s just not very good. League One quality.
