MarkBRFC Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Imagine it will be an unchanged team, but I would be tempted to get Beck in for Hedges to give us a bit better flexibility to go 3 at the back in this game.. Fully expecting a very similar game to the Sheffield Utd one, lots of effort and huff and puff but ultimately undone by a better side. Rovers 0 Leeds 2 8 Quote

The one thing that stood out above everything else vs Sheffield United though was just how physically dominant they were. Not just that of course, but when a team is so much quicker and stronger then you really have to go some to outplay them. I'm not sure whether Leeds have quite the same physical edge. I think they've had some issues with players being unavailable in midfield. Rothwell's been a mainstay in there, and we know better than anyone that as good as he can be going forward, he has his flaws. Their away from has been slightly dodgy too, so I don't think a result is out of the question at all. 1 Quote

sharpysharps86 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Leeds have clicked, similarly to Sheffield United when we played them at Ewood. Expect this to be a defeat, a draw would be fantastic after last nights victory. I think Beck will come in for one of Hedges or Dolan. Other than that I expect it to be the same side as last night unless there are injuries. I'll go for a 1-2 defeat. Quote
1874 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 What Leeds have is pace so we'll need to avoid giving them space in behind given how slow our defenders are 1 Quote
Michael123458 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Buzzing after last night that was a proper set up game plan I believe eustace set up against boro. Frustrate and then hit them with a sucker punch last night showed we’re a completely different team to last year in my opinion rovers 1 0 Leeds fuck dirty Leeds!!! RTID!! Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Remember...if you hate Leeds Utd have a go! 3-0 20,200 Quote
JCRovers Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 No doubt this will be a tough match, Leeds are probably the best side in the league. If we can frustrate them and lower the tempo like we did against Boro then we might get a 0-0 draw or even snatch the win if our counter-attacks are successful. Should we however concede within the first 30 minutes or so then it might get ugly. Need pace for this game; would like to see Cozier-Duberry and Beck starting but Eustace will probably pick Dolan and Hedges again for wing positions due to their work rate and ability to track back. Don't think it would be an awful idea to start Gueye here either; the winning goal we scored last season at Elland Road came after Gallagher won an aerial duel, Dolan picked up the loose ball to then put Szmodics through on goal. Lancaster Rover Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Leeds arguably have a worse side than last year and run out of ideas as quickly. Similar to the dingles if you give them space they will pick you off however remaining compact and well organised off the ball gives you a good chance of a point or more Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Have we had a Saturday 3pm game this season? Quote
damo100 Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Tough game, but then every game is in the Championship. We beat them at their place last season which seriously dented any chance of a top 2 spot. They'll be hurting from that, however, there's no reason why we can't repeat that result. 2-1 21,165 Quote
Ossydave Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Leeds have looked good in large patches of games when I've seen then, a very different proposition to Sheff Utd in terms of playing style, but a tough test nonetheless. However, if we look at form they've only won 1 game in their last 5 away from home and that was a late late winner at Swansea in a cracking game. Worryingly we failed to score in our last 3 home games.... The ineffective Hedges needs dropping for me, we need all 11 players to make their mark. Beck or ACD could do a job I feel. 1-1 for me, Yuki to put us 1 up after 3 minutes, Leeds to equalise very late on after a resilient defence concede a penalty. As an aside I wonder if anyone will turn up thinking it's a half 12 kick off? Bit of a weird time ain't it. Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Difficult to see anything other than a resounding defeat but I thought that the other night and look what happened. Who knows? Agree with the consensus wanting to see Beck in for Hedges. I'm guessing the ridiculous kick off time is down to our wonderful local Constabulary deciding that they can't handle 8000 Leeds fans in an overall crowd of 20k any later in the day. Not sure how they'd cope if we ever did get back to the PL with the bigger crowds and having to Police games at the times Sky dictated. Can you imagine Greater Manchester and Merseyside Police asking for Liverpool v ManUre to kick off at 1.30 p.m. in a non televised slot? 1 Quote

TheRevAshton Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Gonna go 0-2 Leeds. They're top of the league and in fantastic form, with bags of quality and pace. Think it'll be similar to the Sheff Utd game. Really hope i'm proven wrong though, obviously! One big positive about Eustace's Rovers, is the fact that we are indeed capable of pulling off surprise results against strong opposition. Quote
AllRoverAsia Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 The game is live on TV on Paramount+ and CBS Sports Golazo in the US for those who can access same. 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Leeds are coming into this in some good form, winning their last 3. They've not been as strong away from home, they beat Swansea recently but conceded 3 in the process and lost to Milwall before that. As usual though, expect Rovers to be the early Xmas present and succumb to a 0-2 defeat. Quote
chaddyrovers Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Rovers 2-1. Ohashi to score on 12 mins. Header. Leeds to score in the 78 minutes. Free kick. Rovers to score in the 89 minute with Batth scoring. Rovers held on for 9 minutes in injury time 1 Quote
