Couldn’t have said it better myself. Please give Eustace money and time. I am 100% behind this guy if this is what he aims for. Solid and playing for your teammate.

The amount of work Cantwell, Dolan, Ohashi, Beck and Travis has done off the ball this half has been really impressive, but Trondstad is something else when it clicks. All in all we’ve made life hard for Leeds without being dirty. Colour me impressed.

And I’m really developing a soft spot for Cantwell. Better and better each game. Better and better defensively. But his main attribute is in attack and he is delivering. Just the right amount of flair for this squad. Think he’s too good for this league.

Phew…need to get a cig after that. Bring on 2nd half. COYB!!!

If this is the standard of performance we can maintain for the season, we’re looking at top 6. Total commitment across the park and impressive work with ball (albeit not having much of it all).

Value for the lead and we’ll be value for the win if we do the same second half.

What feels good about it is the defence is so solid. Unlike JDT ball (which I really liked) where wed hang the defence out to dry to get three players overlapping in the channels with this it feels like we can both win by playing well but also fall back on grinding it out. We haven't had a manager who could properly set us up defensively in such a long time.

I do quite fancy us this year, really need that proven striker in Jan though.

Solid start. Not sure about booing Rothwell.

He downed tools for 6 months when the Venkys stepped in to stop his January transfer to Bournemouth.

He can fuck right off.

Tronstad is excellent but we had some good uns in the Prem including Ryan Nelsen

Ryan Nelson and Chris Samba. One of the best defensive partnerships in the Prem and cost us a total of £500,000.

I miss Blackburn Rovers.

Yeah, I’d agree with all of that. The quality of defenders/keeper that we didn’t have with JDT (after Kaminski left) is what really undermined the whole philosophy. We are at least asking our defenders to do more of what they’re instinctively good at and less of what they’re bad at. “Sink or swim” can work when you’ve got the resources, but we haven’t since JW.

If we take 6 points of Leeds and Boro in a week, a lot of teams will not fancy us for the foreseeable and if we keep taking joy in ruining opposition teams’ day, we’ll pick up a lot more points.

Was big Brad not a free?

I always thought he was but from listening to him on a podcast we paid Liverpool £100 per 100 appearances.

Apparently John Williams described it as the best money he ever spent at rovers.

This is why I advocate to fill the Darwen End with 7500 Dingles.

Leeds are absolutely silent, imagine if this was burnley and everyone pointing over chanting, humiliating them.

It's a trade off that can go both ways I guess.

Just my thoughts I know alot of you are scared of that thought.

Eh never heard that before but that's practically free. That's a symbolic payment.

Think it was Ben Foster’s podcast that it was on. Worth a listen, always nice hearing former Rovers talk about their time at the club. But he was a free with the appearance bonus thing is direct from Friedel’s mouth. Can hear the satisfaction he has recounting John Williams telling him it’s the best money he’s spent.

Well it was a £100k not £100... Still small beer for one of the best ever Premier League keepers
