The one yesterday - he didn’t put any pace on the ball. He just rolled it out in Tronstad’s general direction.

Yeah, then Tronstad was outpaced. Some quick players Leeds have, and good a pressing. Thought we coped well overall and we have to try and keep the ball or else we're exhausted at half time.

Gueye won a couple of thundering headers at the end from goal kicks - granted he headed it into the middle of the pitch to no-one because our players didn't react to it, but they were both towering headers and what you'd expect of someone that size.

He did but from memory wasn't he in a more central position then?

No, he was on the left wing - almost every goal kick by Pears was aimed at the left wing, with at least two going out of play on the full.

I'd rather have that, than pissing around with the ball in our own penalty area.

I thought the idea was for Guyere to be out on the left so he could head Pears goal kick into the centre for Dolan to chase after. All the goal kicks after Guyere came on went  left. Some of them straight out unfortunately !

Does winning mean there is no room for improvement?

Correct. Eustace won’t be basking in the glory of beating Leeds this morning. He’ll be working on what can be improved upon. IE our passing in the last third.

Always room for improvement

I was commenting on the generic finding faults and moaning that follows even victories..We beat Dirty Leeds with a much bigger budget and premier league squad - happy days

I refrained from saying bigger club as they only have 7 major trophies us 10 trophies

I'm late to the party on this game, but I thought that Rovers were excellent. They gave Leeds very little.

Dolan was superb, but was this his 1 good game in 10? I hope not.

Pears was also solid. I'm still sceptical of him though.

Cantwell is a class above.

I haven't read all the posts but of those I did read there was hardly anyone moaning, just some constructive criticism. The way Eustace was bollocking some players told me there were aspects of our play he wasn't happy with.

Cantwell is excellent both on and off the ball. He's always back in the defence when we're under pressure, picking up the ball from deep and moving it forwards.

Pears will never not be a liability. Decent shot stopper with good reactions but makes poor decisions time and time again. I'm still fucked off about him almost single handedly getting us relegated last season.
