If there's one thing that Rovers generally don't do, it's last minute winners.

Only one since we have returned post covid, and none in injury time.

Time we did then and change it

Looks like it is - just seen an article on a Leeds website reproducing a statement from the Police stating that they intervened and "requested" a 1.30 p.m. kick off to reduce alcohol related anti social behaviour etc. In fact they even requested a 12.00 noon kick off but Leeds pushed back against that.

What a bloody joke. Talk about the tail wagging the dog. At least Leeds had the backbone to stand up to them

Police decision but how does reduced anti social behaviour? Has they even been loads of trouble between us and Leeds fans? Apart from a couple of fans either side

There is that phrase again 'free hit'  no such thing should exist.

It's a home game there is everything to play for and it's called points, we need them just as much or even more so than they do.

I think what people mean is, two draws against Boro and leeds, would have been acceptable to most people. That would have given us two points. As we already have three points, even if the worst happens and we lose today. We are still a point up, on what would have been acceptable. I also agree that there should be no such thing as a free hit, it is not the attitude of winners.

There are Leeds fans drinking in Clitheroe at The White Lion already. Another win for Lancashire Constabulary 🫠.

They were piling into Blackburn and Darwen off the trains at 10 am according to some social media sites.

The fuzz leaders have brains in their arseholes as all they are doing is increasing all afternoon potential agg from drinking to all day potential agg and seeing an influx all over east Lancs.

I'm not sure why you're querying my post, it sounds like we're in agreement. I'm not aware of any specific trouble between us and Leeds fans nor am I aware of any other Police forces picking and choosing kick off times to suit themselves. If I'm wrong on either count I hold my hands up.

Rovers for their part should refuse any attempt to move the fixtures about. If our local Police are unhappy with Policing matches at the scheduled times then that's their problem - it's a matter for discussion  between them and the EFL and the broadcasters.

Leeds fans at work look forward to Rovers away more than most games, not far to go, loads of tickets and a day on the piss. It's also probably one of the only away games many will go to all season it's that hard for them to get tickets. Likewise United fans want us to go up too as its one of their favourite aways for the same reasons. There's never been mass disorder with them they just tried to take a few Xmas trees with them a few seasons back from the postal. They would have arrived early irrespective of KO times, it just means they might be marginally more sober than had it kicked off at 3, till after the game anyway.

Don’t think it is.

I don't know Hasta. I was messaging a friend whose husband is a Leeds fan who couldn't get a ticket and she said he was planning to watch it there. As I said earlier I would assume no one can as it will still be on at 3pm.

I don’t recall many issues with Leeds fans before (at Ewood anyway)

Man City were generally the worst bunch to fill the DE. Always a load of dicks in their following.

I don't think there is much history of trouble between fans. But I'm hearing that a train has arrived at Preston completely wrecked by Leeds fans.

Change in formation? Could be Pickering at left cb in a three

Probably exactly the same formation & set up as against Boro, Pickering moves inside to make a back 3 when we are in possession anyway, Beck playing the Hedges role is my guess

It was only a few years ago the Leeds fans were fighting the police at the corner of DE/JW after the match.  I’m not surprised they have put the KO time back. I presume there’s 7k of them travelling? I don’t envy the police at times.

The kick-off time has been brought forward, not put back.
