I can't see us getting anything from these games, we don't fare well against these sorts of teams.

Definitely lose against Hull, Luton, Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall.

Aging like milk thus far. Eustace continues to defy our recent history.

In typical football fan fashion, the longer our run goes on the more nervous I'm getting, it's the hope that kills you, plus the impending January transfer meltdown over the horizon that I can't seem to get out of my mind. Trying to be realistic and not get carried away.

It feels different with JE at the helm though, Trav, Hyam and Batth and McFadz being leaders on the pitch, scoring all kinds of goals, defending like lions and blocking shots like the Hughes days.

Almost want a hard fought defeat soon then we can regroup for them lot at home - anyone else feel that way?

14 points from those eight games would be a nice haul.

Win and a draw from Hull/Sheff Wed

Win and a draw from Luton/Millwall

Win and a draw Sunderland/Hull

2 draws Leeds/Burnley.

Would keep us nicely in contention moving into the New Year.

2 points ahead of schedule.

16 points would be even nicer than 14.

And 17 would be even better than 16. Id tolerate a defeat at Leeds if we could beat our 6 fingered neighbours.

Probably put the kiss of death on it now.

To be honest I'd suffer losing 3 or 4 to guarantee beating the Dingles.

Have to disagree on that!

I look at it the other way round. If you could guarantee automatic promotion now but had to swallow a 0-9  home defeat by the Dingles I'd take it.

That's a tough conundrum

You are right in every sense of the imagination......but 9-0 to that lot isnt even worth thinking about

It was in the context of 'the next 6 games'. Promotion wouldn't be guaranteed within those parameters. Regardless, I'm not sure I'd like that lot to inflict our record home defeat on us...

I'd rather we got relegated than that.

I was exaggerating somewhat to illustrate the point.

But in all seriousness if they absolutely thumped us at home but we went up ** - who cares? I certainly wouldn't.

** Especially if they didn't.

I think you're on your own with that one son.

I’m loving how wrong this is becoming 😁😁

Ah! Well.

All good things come to an end I suppose. But surprised it came at the Den where we've done rather well in the past.

Move on to Sunderland at home and hopefully a better performance than today's.

If we come out in a good position after these six games I will start to believe......

But also it's worth saying at the same point in JDTs first season (i.e. 24 games in) we were 3rd so it's hard to really feel that certain about anything. In the Championship you are always only one death spiral away...

This shows just how much stronger the league is this season, and just what a great job Eustace is doing. There are 4 teams this season already on 43 points or more points having played 2 games less.

Just a shame we aren't one of them.

I can't believe anyone would prefer not to go up but beat Burnley in the reverse fixture as opposed to going up but losing say 0-4 against our 6 fingered neighbours.

Anyway, after the Millwall defeat , we're still one point ahead of my points "schedule" currently but that may be put sorely to the test now in light of Travis's injury.

Yep, if we lost 4-0 in a couple of weeks but then got to wave at them as we went past to reach the PL it would be just as sweet, maybe even sweeter, the game would have been a total pyrrhic victory for them.

Anybody obsessing about one fixture is as small time as that lot used to be (and what we used to take the piss out of them for).

However he's rewriting history as per usual as he was initially saying that he'd be happy to get smashed 9-0 at home by the six fingered sister fiddlers.

I think any self respecting Rovers fan would find that unacceptable, especially given that if by some miracle we managed to win enough games and survive venkys sabotage efforts to make it into the Premier League we'd be straight back down anyway.

sunderland ar`nt as effective as they are at home, with our injuries to key players then a draw is`nt to bad

we should beat hull 3 points

we`ll get nothing at leeds, with a short turnaround unless they are as shattered as we`ll be then i can`t see getting anything,if i was eustace id`e rest a few for the derby

the dingles will have all the ball but do nothing with it,our organisation will snuff them out and we`ll get a late winner😆

We’d be straight back down an infinitely stronger club. We got beat 9-0 but ended up in the Premier League, I’d get over it pretty sharpish.

We all know we wouldn't be stronger.

Any and all monies would be trousered, we'd have a pathetic campaign and our marquee signing would be a 12 year old from League Two.

We'd have been smashed by the inbreds and have a shot premier league season and be exactly back where we started, probably in a worse position as the owners would come up with some bullshit excuse to further deteriorate the club.

9-0? We'd never be able to live that down.
