Everyone has bbc Iplayer so how it a problem?

On Sky point, its EFL who wanted more money so in order to get more games on tv. What wrong with given fans a choice of games to watch? I dont want watch the Welsh Derby tomorrow

The problem isnt the channel. Its the inconvenience it causes matchgoing fans who should be the priority to facilitate supporters given the option to pick from various games from their armchair.

Then blame the FA, PL, EFL and the clubs not the TV companies.

Given they picked 9 games for TV, always likely we get picked tbf.

There shouldnt be that many games, it is all of these associations and companies together that are complicit in screwing over the fans. Its obviously not just the TV companies but they are part of it.

End result? Players on stupid money, clubs at all levels pissing money out making losses, match going fans charged more and more and inconvenienced more in the process. The money goes to the top, everyone else especially us fans fucked over. Constantly increasing TV deals that dont help the losses because wages just go up and make it harder for fans. And people like you lapping it up.

If you don't want football on TV start taking a stand and stop watching on TV then? Are you going take the stance?

Then stop watching beloved champions league?

The TV companies don’t care what viewing figures they get for the ‘lesser’ games - they show them because they have to.

If it was up to them they’d be more than happy just to show matches between the ‘big’ teams.

As of last year, you received £125k for being a live TV game, and only £55k for being on I player.

Thats such a nominal amount that you can't even have the argument the club should use that to subsidise lower tickets for an inconvenient date / time.

To have the games going on from a Thursday night to the following Tuesday night (following all those games in the last round being moved just to satisfy overseas TV, why not kick those off at 3pm then if it’s not even a UK broadcast?) is a not pretty well disguised ‘fuck you’ to match going supporters.

I’ve noticed the FA’s latest self-referential slogan is ‘The Greater Game’, when in reality what leads to ‘The Greater Revenue’ is all they’ve cared about ever since that place in north west London was re-built ridiculously over budget…

I've just recieved an email off doncaster rovers as i live quite close and went to an england youth game that wharton played in so i'm on their mailing list

Tickets are £15 for adults for their cup game against palace...the sort of price our game should be to get a good crowd in but i'd bet it won't be

Well dont watch then.

A really mature response knowing full well that the point I and others raise is correct. Constantly increasing TV deals inconvenience the matchgoing fans, the prices of tickets arent going down, basically all clubs are constantly making losses and running unsustainable business models, and the players are the ones that get more money. Its impossible to justify.

Don’t forget the agents filling their boots. All money going out of the game. They don’t put a penny back.

no its called taking a stance for what you believe in but you won't. You will watched PL, EFL and European football this weekend no doubt or what the Champions League bollocks when it returned. Will you boycott watching live football this week?

The rest of your post is part of wider footballing debate

That’s a complete nonsensical argument. Boycott the BBC! In fact, why doesn’t he just stop paying the licence fee while he’s at it and get a criminal record because he’s annoyed with an FA Cup tie on iPlayer.

Should he boycott going to watch Blackburn Rovers and EFL games in general as they are the ones that signed the deal? Debate properly and stop being daft.

Im guessing you wanted Coyle and Kean sacked. Did you boycott games until they left?

Not only a ridiculous argument, but a hypocritical one.

Let’s not forget that you once said that you wouldn’t get a season ticket if Owen Coyle was appointed manager, and then did.

So you were unhappy with what was happening, but decided that you’d still continue to watch rather than cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Kind of like being unhappy with TV moving football kick off times but still deciding to watch.

I have accepted the role of Tv coverage within football and kick off times will change throughout the season. Some people haven't despite watching of football themselves.

Only reason you don’t watch CL, is because it’s not on a subscription service you pay for, tbf.

Wrong. I have no interest in Champions league anymore for years. It's completely lost it appeal plus factoring in a number of other non football reasons.

Agree with all the comments re the Fa cup and Ko times, money in the game etc. Just ruining the match day supporter experience.

I also really enjoyed watching the Southampton vs Swansea highlights. It reminded me of that weird game in Africa or Asia some time ago where the winning team would have a much more difficult opponent, so both were trying to score own goals.

It was the same for the both of them  playing it out from the back. Each team trying to outdo the other with a suicidal pass. I counted 5 guilt edge, one on one with the keeper type chances, from playing out from the back incidents. Utter madness.

No, it's the right way to play.

I was at a ninth tier match whilst on holiday in Devon during the summer just gone and in the programme notes (imagine!) the manager apologised for last time out, where, in order to stop a slide in their form, he had not played the way they usually do. They had actually won said match, yet it still needed to be justified...
