Calamitous how? He held the ball up and he defended well in our box.

Nearly scored an own goal, caused a confusion by getting in Batth's way in our own box, gave away a stupid free kick and got booked and hit a shot that flew back to Ewood.

Another day, another win. Poor performance to judge from the comments on here but who's complaining?

Just carry on staying at home, Jim and we might just a have a chance this season 😂

Three consecutive 1-0 wins now is the hallmark of a well coached side. We didn't really look in trouble for the vast majority of the game and always looked the class side of the two when in possession, not least the way we swept the ball around to force the og winner.

Apparently 8 players unavailable but unlike in previous seasons when so many were missing, it was not noticeable today.

A very thorough job well done in bad weather conditions.

Great to be back in the top 6!

Came on to see out a win, won a couple of headers in our own box (including one that he put out for a corner), a great flick on and did really well to bring that ball under control and drive into a shooting position, really poor effort and a clumsy booking though.

Not the stuff of great finesse but did his job today

Whisper it quietly, but could Pears be turning into a half decent keeper ?

Just saying

I wouldn't drop him anymore. 8 clean sheets before Christmas is a great effort. Defence clearly seem more confident in him as well.

Someone with sense

Eustace trying to bring a team together to play as one and constantly seeing people slate different players what’s the point talk all you want but fans working hard to bring the team down and bring negativity what are you doing it for keep it to yourselves or don’t come to the games but there’s a bloke out there who dosent care about the venkys but does care about winning games and getting the best out of a team

Not this ‘negativity’ stuff again. If ‘99’s view was Gueye wasn’t good when he came on, fair enough his opinion, but also fair enough if you totally disagree and tell him so.

It’s a message board for opinions as you see them. The fans get behind the players home and away and that’s what matters.

It wasn’t exactly cinema stuff but another 1-0 win so we’ll take it.

IMO there is at least 1 playoff spot up for grabs (can’t see past the current top 5) and there’s no reason why Rovers can’t be in the mix for it (well 1 reason is Venkys and a shambles January window)

For the past 3-4 years we’ve seen Armstrongs Blackburn Diaz’s Blackburn and szmodics Blackburn for the first time in a long time people aren’t talking about an individual but the team as a whole and yet there’s still people trying to prick and pry at the team yeah people can say what they want but for Christ sakes keep it of twitter keep it off instagram and keep it of blue sky if you don’t want to oust the negativity then don’t enable it you’re saying it like it’s a bad thing to call it out

I thought we played the conditions perfectly today. Eustace-ball at its finest. We created very little but we didn’t need to. We played sensibly and held out comfortably. That is excellent coaching. Enjoyed the fact we were 1 nil up at HT despite having 0 shots! I make that 9 points since the international break. 3 x 1-0 wins benefiting from an offside goal, a pen and an Og. Bloody love Eustace-ball! Living near Hull this game has special significance for me me…so thank you Eustace and the lads!

Kind of game we would have lost in previous years, pleasing result if not performance but results all that matter. My only concern is that last time we snuck a winner under par (v qpr) we then went on a very poor run , and I don’t fancy sheff wed on Tuesday

Not a classic by any stretch of the imagination. But it never was going to be in those conditions. We didn't play particularly well, going forward we strung one good move together and scored from it (with the aid of a defldcfion).

That's why it was very pleasing to come away with a win here. Would've been an easy game to come out on the wrong side of. But yet again we showed all the qualities of recent weeks and that identify this eustace side: resilience, organisation, hard work, pragmatism.

It shows how by doing the basics very well you can grind out results in this league.

That's said, despite the current form we aren't going to continue in the top 6 unless some attacking thrust emerges over the next few months. But that's a problem for another day. Eustace who I wasn't that impressed with last season is doing a great job with what he's been given.

So fine to have an opinion on brfcs still? Good to know.

Question do I sound like an arse for asking for a bit of positivity and less negativity or not?

A victory for endeavour if ever I've seen one. Terrible conditions making for a terrible game but a brilliant result.

Once again, like the Boro game, no need to single anyone out for criticism, another team win with another clean sheet, and without player of the season up to now, Travis.

Looks like we've a bloke in charge who knows what he's doing.

Don’t know about being an arse, but all such phrases do is shut down debate.

Tell posters they are ‘wrong, because…’, not ‘you are ‘negative, be positive’. But anyway let’s leave it there I’m not ‘99ers dad.
