v Hull City (a) - 07/12/2024

Bookies thinking that it could go either way (screenshot is OddsChecker), and I’m inclined to agree with that.

Hopefully we turn up, settle in and get the first goal.

This fixture has disappointment written all over it. Hopefully Eustace has erased that mentality and we can go out there and pick up a nice 3pts to keep the momentum going.

If we take 5+ points from the next 3 fixtures I might start dreaming of the play offs 😱

In the championship the odds on the vast majority of games must be pretty close to 50/50? It's such an unpredictable league. Would be interesting to read an analysis on it. Outside of the top and bottom two or three I would say it's very hard to predict anything.

me to,beat two promotion chasing teams and then lose to one in the relegation zone, hopefully we`ll get a result, hull look pretty much demoralised at the moment

Plus, some of there better players have left since we last played them. Draw a minimum for me.

Just don't lose whatever the performance.

It’s not perfect, parachutes being the big issue, be interesting to see what happens with the reforms to it Parry is pushing.

But generally most games you’ve not a clue how they are going to go.

It will no doubt make it even less competitive and guarantee promotion for relegated teams.

Yes not the greatest quality but the Championship is everything a sport competition should be. Unpredictable and competitive.

The Championship is like the SPL - you know pretty much who the top 2 are going to be and everyone else doesn't really have a pot to piss in.

I'm definitely expecting us to lose this one, based on my experience of Rovers over the last 52 years or so...

I'm thinking about the pattern so far this year too, with the Plymouth debacle being a case in point where we more or less gifted a result to a side otherwise getting nothing from their overblown bloaty mcBloatfaced manager.

More than happy to eat humble pie if proven wrong, and will hold my hands up in the event that we do come back down the M62 singing like blue and white trolls.

We played well against Stoke, Cardiff, Boro and Leeds. The team look full of confidence and team spirit is sky high.

I saw an interview with Travis in which he said if we had been a tad more clinical in a couple of matches we'd be in the top four. Suggested the group is looking up, not down.

I was quietly confident against Leeds and am feeling the same for this fixture. We are better than we think. Rovers to win 1-0.

No it isn’t!

The Championship is a big league, with big clubs, big stadiums and big crowds. The quality of football is pretty decent and it is exciting and unpredictable. It is won by different clubs every year. Although parachute payments are currently having an adverse affect on the level of competition, one club without parachute payments will usually have the chance of a transformative promotion via the play offs (Luton) or even better (Ipswich).

I will defend the Old Firm clubs against English people who ignorantly deny how enormous those two clubs are. There are also several other Scottish clubs who could be half decent IF they got a chance to play in a real league, like the championship. However, the SPL is an absolutely dire league, I assure you. My family and I would love to be able to watch Championship football every week. Some of the SPL football is way below Championship standard and as a competition I’d rather be watching League One, League Two or just about any other league in the world!

Obviously this will be won or lost on the training ground with Tronstadt paired with someone from JRC, Baker and Buckley.

If that doesn't work we are likely to struggle.

Would still like ADC get some minutes if that isn't a dangerous luxury.

Has to be said, as things stand, we have survived selling our best players and losing an iconic manager better than Hull have. But on Saturday, both clubs are in the same bad ownership off-field management mess except Hull get the crowds and Swag has killed our's.

Here's to the loyal away fans cheering us onto victory.
