We will win pal. We’re a totally different side this year. Our defence is as tight as cramp. Score first half then trademark defending second half. Our defence is so tight now it would make a Scotsman look like charity 😀

Watch us lose 5-0!

If he gets the win do you think the Hull fans will claim it as his victory?

Rather Rovers win wouldn't you?

Whilst I think its a good appointment by Hull.

Also safe travel to any Rovers fans attending today.

Unless it's tongue in cheek why do fans post this sort of stuff? Talk about setting yourself up for a fall.  Are you related to Mercer (where's he gone BTW?)

There's so many variables in football and assuming the match goes ahead it'll be very difficult playing conditions today, so anything can happen - literally so with the erratic Pears in goal.

Should be fine if you’re not making the trip Jim 😉

Not going - call me timid but al my age I don't fancy the M62 or the lottery of the rail service in this weather.

Conditions are going to put an end to this being any kind of spectacle. I'm just down the road in York and its windy and hammering down with rain.

And the forecast is worsening for the Hull region, to include 65-70 mph gusts of wind, and constant rain from 2pm through match time. Don't be surprised if this is called off shortly.

All that will go out of the window today. Given the conditions it’ll be down to whoever wants it the most.

Keep the ball on the ground lads. The gusty stuff will last the duration of the game, and won't add anything positive to the entertainment value (unless it is the ball blowing into the Hull goal off Yuki's head or Mak's arse).

Wrap up well all who are trekking East this afternoon. It is going to be a wet and flatulent farce.

They showed a highlight of the Rovers goal against Hull at the KC Stadium (or whatever it's called these days) on Twitter this morning.

A. Wharton (£18m) threading a ball to Szmodics (£12m) and the first player to run over and join them in their celebration in the corner flag was Gallagher (£1m).

We've had buttons to replace them with. Football is shit, isn't it?

At last though, we have a manager and squad who I believe have the grit between their teeth to out battle our opponent on a day like today in most areas. Although, despite everything, I don't fancy Hyam under a swirling high ball. Pears needs to be decisive today...

It's quite pleasing to see Leeds battering Derby when we didn't give them a sniff.

On the bright side at least we don't now have to put up with Gallagher running over.

No academy graduates starting today. When was the last time that happened!?

A sign of decline or a blip? Litherland and O'Grady-Macken from the new generations on the bench but should be a big concern for the future.
