47er
I'm thinking our winning streak must come to an end soon and where more likely than a Tuesday night at Hillsborough? I accept I'm a pessimist when it comes to Rovers. Best way to stay sane! 5 wins in a row would be fantastic though....

Rovers win 🤞please. Don’t worry Gav. The last time I was on the Kop we won 5-0.
...
Get a win at Wednesday then hang on for dear life for next few fixtures!!
philipl
Wednesday have quietly climbed to 9th after an indifferent start so are dangerous opponents. Watched that game against Preston North End which was an odd one. North End should have been 3 up rather than just the 1 in the first 20 minutes. Intelligent passing was getting them in round the back at will combined with Wednesday generosity in making mistakes. Second half, Wednesday were a different proposition but didn't look like scoring until a slick move got them in behind the defense for a simple tap in. Although. Wednesday stepped it up looking for a winner, Preston had few alarms and had a golden chance themselves. Wednesday have two good wingers, Windass can score and Chelobah excites the locals. They are much more potent than Hull but not as dangerous as Leeds or Boro against whom we kept clean sheets. Cautiously optimistic we will get at least a point.

alcd
Barry Bannon will be back for this one (suspended yesterday). Hugely influential player.

We should have been in for him ( fee dependant) when they were in League 1. Good player. I just hope we turn up. Last visit was a shit show and embarrassing to watch. I'll be happy with a point. philipl
Bannon will make a big difference compared with the midfield they had against PNE but Trav gives us more steel in the centre of the park.
TheRevAshton
Not got a great feeling about this one. Think a somewhat dull 0-0 is likely, but equally I keep imagining that Wednesday will edge it - hope i'm wrong (which admittedly, I have been for the last 4 games)! Popular Post arbitro
We really owe this lot. Aside from their win at Ewood when it was handed to them on a plate by our players (and their fans celebrating like they had won the Champions League) our awful run last season started at Hillsborough when we were in or around the play-off places. Again some poor defending helped them but the turning point was a blatant foul on James Hill not being given which immediately led to their second goal, just after we equalised and were getting on top. The awful run after this led to Tomasson leaving and another real low point in the Punekars tenure. So beating them will be sweeter with this in mind.
Exiled_Rover
This is the real start of the awful Christmas run in. This is where the richer teams with their larger squads pull away from the pack with back-to-back games until January stressing players.

sharpysharps86
Think this may be a game too far for Rovers. They've done magnificently to win 4 on the spin but away at Sheffield Wednesday, I have a bad Coventry away feeling about it for some reason. A draw would be a very good result here. Going for a 2-0 defeat 😞 Predicted team: Pears Brittain Batth Hyam Beck Travis Tronstad Dolan Cantwell Hedges Ohashi Would like to see ACD get a chance but doubt this is the game for him. More likely to get more minutes at home to Luton at the weekend I reckon.

And we need to use the Jan transfer window properly this time for once assuming there might be a modicum of backing. Non of this 500k 'one for the future' stuff or bluffing out the squad with a couple of journeymen just get in a few who can compete, decent loan business is the way to go.

Mattyblue
There will be c4,000 empty seats in the away end yet you can’t make a last minute to attend… nudge nudge.
tomphil
There'll be at least 10k empty seats across the ground but they make it all ticket ? Pull the other one it plays jingle bells.
Michael123458
Wednesday 0 2 rovers hate these cnuts. Rovers to score 2 on counter. With our defence making a Scotsman seem like a cash machine. RTID!!
ben_the_beast
Keep it tight, keep battling hard and we've every chance of another 3 points here. I'd have us down as ever so slight favorites, but really wouldn't be surprised to see a 0-0 draw.
...
That's what I'm saying really, think it'll be a tricky one but going 2-1 Rovers will take a draw. Loss isn't an option
Old Codger
If Yuki plays, someone needs to lay him a couple of chances on a plate, rather than him having to battle away to create his own. The sooner he breaks his barren streak the better the rest of the season for the lad and for Rovers too. It will be calmer conditions than Saturday, and plenty of pitch to go at for our players to run at theirs. Not expecting anything but our arse handed to us from this one, for no other reason than all good things come to an end eventually. Having said that, it also means that anything we do get from the game is a bonus. Its the Championship, it's a Tuesday evening, it is Yarkshire. What could possibly go wrong? COYB!
