I’m thinking of travelling over for this fixture with a friend. No tickets available for purchase on the Rovers website, is this match restricted to season ticket holders only? Or is there another way to get tickets? Any advice or help appreciated!

Usually about 3 weeks before, might be a bit sooner for this one.

You’ll absolutely be able to get a ticket, I wouldn’t worry about that.

Brilliant, thanks K-Hod 👍

Do you have a history of purchasing home tickets at Ewood? If not, you may need to contact the club and make your case that you’re not Burnley fans just trying to get in the home end. You should be able to do it, but the club won’t just sell tickets to someone they don’t know for this game.

I’d pay an extra few quid on next years season ticket  just to give them 2k again and watch their meltdown.

I’ve been to two matches a while back, Swansea at home and Utd in the cup. I’ll give the club a bell on Monday then, thanks.

Cost Cutters FC aren't open on Mondays anymore to contact, would have to be Tuesday.

If you have bought tickets in the recent past then there should be no problem. Further back, it might be.

Thanks for all your help lads.

I rang the ticket office and they told me that I’ve no chance of getting a ticket as they’re only sold for this fixture to people with enough points. Apparently points are earned by attending matches in the previous year, I haven’t been to Ewood since 2020 so I’ve got no chance!

Sorry, what. So a Rovers fan can’t get a ticket to a game that will have c10,000 empty seats? A game by its very nature that will attract fans that only go now and again.

Once again, the club are actively trying to discourage attendance. What on earth is going on down there.

Did they mention how many points you need?

Meeting was Monday, but I can raise it at next meeting, which unfortunately, will be after this Burnley game.

Otherwise, I imagine that Adam C will be able to go to the Burnley match one way or another.

In spite of what appears to be a very short-sighted (at best) policy from the club.

Hypothetically a group of Burnley fans could buy half season tickets for a stand of their choice and cause trouble. I know it's a bit of an extreme example but it highlights the absurdity of turning genuine Rovers fans away.

Don’t give up hope.

Given you spoke to someone who works for the club there’s a reasonable chance it will turn out they were talking bollocks.

I think she said 300 but wasn’t sure as it hadn’t been decided yet.

If that's right then it's a nonsense. A season ticket holder for the last two seasons will have 240 points (120 per season). And why would a season ticket holder who already has a ticket want to buy one? Crazy but unsurprising.

As of 21st May, a maximum of 3650 fans (and as few as 406) had 300+ points.

By the time (as you say @arbitro) season ticket holders are deducted from this, they won’t be selling many match tickets…

(Including the Blackburn End upper, even with the Darwen End away fans only there’d be at least  9500 empty seats left over 🤦‍♂️)
