He’s got the knack of being in the right place at the right time, but he’s nowhere near physically imposing enough or enough of a threat to start a standard championship game, nevermind this one. A backs to the wall operation for 90 (or 111) mins like at Leeds isn't ideal for him. If we're hopefully going to be a bit more expansive at home I'd have no qualms about starting him. Gueye on for last 30 mins. 1 1 Quote

Probably why he’s ill, and I ask you this, why post stuff about Rangers beating Celtic? It’s not as though he was a Rangers icon, they hated him. Tick Tock Todd was well named. I'd give him a pass on this if he's also as active on Social Media posing rousing stuff about beating the Dingles before our game. Otherwise like you I think it's extremely odd and quite bad form. Let’s hope he has cause to post AFTER the Dingles game. 1 Quote

Got bullied and gave away possession numerous times. Eustace obviously agreed after hooking him off. I know we are struggling with numbers but Leonard isn't the answer. (Unpopular opinion) I don't think he ever will be, league 1s maybe the level for him, not like he's a kid anymore. Edited January 2 by BankEnd Rover 2 Quote
Ossydave Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Something we need to do more of is get Baker up more loitering on the edge of the box to fire a Weimann style screamer in. He’s got a wicked shot on him as shown in set pieces etc previously. Surprised we haven’t tried to utilise this more, particularly if Gueye is playing and knocking balls down. 4 Quote

I say let him step up to the occasion. Big games do things to people. pressure can be good especially youngsters as they can relish the moment. Of course all opinion and we'll never really tell beforehand how anyone will play. Would love to see him do we'll in this one from the start Edited January 2 by ... Quote
TheRovers1994 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Geuye is an impact sub so would like to see Leanord start, the lad works hard and gets into good positions and an eye for goal. Would go with the same team as Leeds just with obviously Leanord replacing ohashi. Baker obvious choice in midfield, steady player and as mentioned above he can hit one. 2 Quote

Eustuce took him off cause geuye was coming on regardless, harsh to say that given the circumstances we was hardly keeping the ball well anyway and he still put himself about well 1 Quote

I'll expect to see him all day on social media tomorrow then! 1 Quote

... Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I just don't think it's going to be a Brickwall game like Leeds I feel we'll have more opportunities to attack and we need an outlet up top for that I think Leonard can fill it for this occasion. There won't be one player in there that isn't going to throw all they have into this game. Gonna be some sore tired bodies 1 Quote

He’s the sort of striker that lulls his opponents into a false sense of security by doing very little. Quote
