It’s a derby, anything can happen. But they should beat us comfortably having spent about £150m on their team. 3

When he played for Norwich against us he didn't look a threat. It doesn't worry me. If they'd announced Tella coming in on loan that might have been a bit different. Hopefully we are a couple of goals up going into injury time and we can put McFadz on "for a word" with him.
superniko
If anything - playing against Barnes and having a chance to right all the wrongs from 2 years ago for Hyam and co. should just be added motivation. We haven't got close to beating the DIngles for almost 15 years now and it was only through a freak worldie that we scored our first goal in a decade against them. I'm just trying to temper expectations. I think we're all getting a bit too excited after scraping into the top six. Burnley are still way ahead of us, as Mowbray once said. We literally beat them at Turf Moor if the linesman knew the rules.

Celebrates by running to Ashley Barnes and absolutely fucking lamping him. I'm for all of that except the last part. We can't afford to have him banned for 3 games.

I genuinely hope he plays; it'd be a disadvantage to them. And if he does, it gives someone like Batth, Beck or Gueye the opportunity to make themselves a hero by leaving a very deserved one on him. Bring them on.

We have to score the first goal for me tomorrow to get something from the game. It's quite amusing reading how much their fans hate the football they currently play. It's a results based business at the end of the day, but it's poor form considering they've outspent most of the rest of the division several times over. Backroom DE. Posted January 3 Backroom Share Posted January 3 (edited) Personally think Eustace is a much better manager than Parker, who has only been successful when his teams have a significant financial advantage over everyone else. Fingers crossed Eustace's managerial nous will get us something from this match, and we can roll on to Portsmouth at Ewood with some solid momentum (getting a result in the cup against Boro would be nice too, of course). TheRovers1994
I can’t believe reading social media and here how many cucks we have, as if anybody is nervous about the lump… he’s scored one goal against a piss weak rovers, probably the worst ever rovers to turn up to an east lancs derby and all he did aside from that is shove the keeper into the goal like a coward. do you really think if he had ewt about him still Norwich are failing expectations themselves would say sure go Burnley for free ? He’s barely played he’s been shit against us for Norwich does anybody honestly think he’s gonna rock up tomorrow match fit and influence the game ? People are dwelling on a freak past match, as we all know we are rock solid nowadays his thug antics won’t go far, all he did last time was blatantly handball in the dying seconds, if the ref wasn’t so bent for them BBD would have more than likely converted the pen and pissed over their big night after throwing games just to try win the dodgy title at ewood. dingles are desperate, Parker is nervous and so is pace so they have tried the oldest trick in the book to restore some positivity and the knuckle dragging brickheads have lapped it up as second coming of Jesus. Why else would a 200m pound team need a has been clogger to give them a lift ? All pressure is on them against a stretched low budget rovers. if anything is our advantage it’s we have a tight knit group of players fighting for the cause and a cauldron ewood which will make things even more awkward for the dingle primma donnas, especially if we go 1 up, one things for sure when ewoods full its rocking don’t recall any dull atmospheres when full unlike turd morgue where you can hear a pin drop unless they are winning

superniko
Don’t think we need to do any parking really - they’re not the most potent of teams, just pointless passing possession across the back line. They’ve scored 2 more than us all season and fewer than every other top 10 side, and I doubt anyone would talk about parking a bus for us. It’s breaking Burnley down that’s tricky (because of their pointless possession at the back) - hopefully a high intensity helps us.
