Eustace has improved lots of things around the team but the passing is still poor. We give the ball away way too often. You can’t do that in modern football. It’s the un forced errors that kill you.

Not gonna moan too much as the squad is stretched to the bare minimum. The lads tried their best and got amongst them. One mistake cost us the game, Britain marking our own centre half as there were 6 bodies in the box and 5 were ours, left the winger with plenty of time to swing the crucial cross in. Not really noticed so far this season but the last two games we have gone back to the way of JDT and sucking the fullbacks in leaving plenty of space out wide, Ending up costing us today. The switch has was always on. Thought Leonard done well to get amongst it and looked promising

I agree with the comments about Cantwell. Thought it was a massive coup to get him and he'd be head and shoulders above the other players in our team, but he's not really shown anything aside from a few moments here and there. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised though as he wouldn't have joined if he was at the top of his game.

Cantwell has been pretty poor but he’s better than what we have, the team set up doesn’t suit him, add more quality up the top end of the pitch and we’ll see the better of him.

Missed Travis big time. Cullen should have been in the book in that first half, Ref on the whole shaded on the side of poor, but we needed Trav in the middle of the park 

Relying on Weimann, Leonard, Hedges, Buckley off the bench. January is massive and Venkys are going to fuck us over again (how can anyone defend them still)

I’d be sending the reserve team out for Boro in the cup. A load of that team need a bit of a break

4 mins added time was a joke then he adds on only 15 seconds despite a full minute of time wasting in added time. No consistency from refs (shock) comparing it NYD

Shitshow for drink in the BBE: ‘express bar’ had one member of staff taking payment and pouring cans into cups. Waggott and Yasir couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery - never have as worse experience in concourses as I do at Ewood.

This really wound me up. To then throw his hands up as though Gueye was to blame was infuriating. Gueye might be crap but he was working hard to get on the end of that ball. Pathetic

He's another bargain basement player whose best days are behind him. He wouldn't be playing if Travis was fit.

There was a moment when he brilliantly nicked the ball off a Burnley player in our half, took it forward into a dangerous position in their half, then passed it straight to another Burnley player.

And that header which should have been a goal. You'd think a player of his experience would be burying that. He didn't even trouble the keeper.

To be fair to Dolan he’s picking the balls up where Cantwell should be. The latter completely bottled it today and took the easy way out and dropped deep

Sickened. We can never seem to get a break against them.
In hindsight maybe keep Gueye on the bench to bring him on if they score. At least we will have someone to aim for at the end with pinging those balls in.

Also Buckley is just the most lackadaisical half-wit ever. At one point we had the ball in our half and attacking and instead of demanding to take the ball he was shying away from it. He has had numerous chances to come in and claim a starting spot long term but I think by this stage its best to get rid.

Bad day for Eustace I thought. The Cantwell and C-D gambles both failed and left us very lightweight and lacking overall endeavour. Taking off the 6’5” guy then pumping high balls was ridiculous.

Agree with most of the player observations. The whole back 4 let us down for their goal: Brittain should’ve called for it and just cushioned it back to Pears, the Hyam header was weak (why are his headers at our corners always so badly directed?); Brittain slow to get out wide; Batt’h should’ve blocked the scorers run and Beck just ball-watched.

Dolan and Gueye might both be poor but they aren’t the ones who should be getting singled out for today.

As with the first goal against Sunderland absolutely appalling from Tronstad for their goal. Gave the ball away to initiate the move then when the cross came in didn't realise the guy who scored was coming in behind him.

Pretty even game overall, must have been a dire spectacle for the neutral, overall we weren't quite good enough.

Two points from five games, no wins since Travis has been out, heaven knows where we'll end up without reinforcements.

Edit: Cantwell offers nothing for me - all fur coat and no knickers.

It’s the controllables that we failed with that’s the most frustrating. 7 first half corners and not a sniff of a chance is shocking, Beck and Cantwell managed to mess up nearly every single one.
