Also this would be my team

               Pears
Brittain Hyam Batth Beck

        Tronstad Baker

     JRC   Dolan   Hedges

               Gueye

Keep it solid as usual with an experienced starting line up and the extra legs of JRC down the right. ACD, Leonard and Wiemann as decent options off the bench later on.

100% agree with this, if Cantwell can’t start (hopefully features from bench). JRC understands what this game means and adds a bit of shithousery given Trav is out.

A lot of doom and gloom here started on page 1 with forecasting a half empty stadium, have the faith, a cracking atmosphere of noise and colour will see the boys over the line. What we lack in quality (missing Trav and potentially Cantwell), we can overcome in effort, running, hard work and covering every blade of grass.

Tomorrow is our time but they need every supporter to get them over the line

no way never.... chim chimney...

I never felt more like singing the blues

im`e laughing about barnes,it`s a desperate signing, his legs have gone,he`s not played much for norwich , is not match fit and he certainly is`nt a parker type player,if the smug one is expecting him to run on to through balls and link up play he`s a bigger **** than i thought he was, only one use for barnes and thats the long ball dyche approach

All this tempting fate is making me uneasy. They aren't great this year on the eye but are hard to beat and have the officials sympathy.

Big expectant Ewood crowd.....

Can we beat them yes! Is it harder than it was , absolutely.

Brain says a hard fought typical East Lancs Derby,  0-0 with us playing 12 men..

Heart 1-0, off someone's arse, hopefully while 2 foot offside. Its going to be a battle.

Whatever happens , like the 1st game, we'll get fight, effort and won't be pushed over now. Let's hope we find some quality from somewhere to get us over the line.

I think with how we've seen these lads fight with backs against the wall they deserve the rapture that awaits. I'm nervous but I don't feel like we are out of it by any means , butterflies are creeping in now I can't wait to get up there and get behind them all

Gonna be feisty I would say.
Need to be at it but smart – a sending off and its game over usually.
JRC could do well in this game.
Beck and Gueye need to be careful –naturally nouty but mustn’t overdo it.
Don’t make it easy for the ref to give a pen.

Don’t think any snow around –lots of rain early am but ok for the game. A little chilly but atmosphere to be red hot. 😃

2-1?

big concern for me are the injuries to key players  and will tiredness kick in after a tough christmas schedule with our small squad

looking on the positive side, burnley have a lot of the ball but don`t do anything with it,i reckon we can hit them on the break and despite trafford being bigged up as a premier league keeper,i think he`s weak on set pieces and crosses

I thought Trafford looked shite in the reverse fixture.

Nonsense, I'm just a realist.  We haven't got close to beating the DIngles for almost 15 years now and it was only through a freak worldie that we scored our first goal in a decade against them.

I'm just trying to temper expectations. I think we're all getting a bit too excited after scraping into the top six. Burnley are still way ahead of us, as Mowbray once said.

Funny thing about Burnley is they've won absolutely nothing in over 60 years. Walk through the reception doors of Ewood Park and you'll see a gleaming PL cup which no Dingle will ever see in person.

I think you're getting a bit too excited about Burnley. Whether they win or lose they'll still be shit and Pace will eventually ruin them. It's pure luck that he hasn't done already.

Burnley are jammy as hell, I genuinely wouldn't be surprised to lose 1-0 to them pretty late on to a Barnes goal after he's subbed on, would be typical honestly.

It's our turn for some luck surely.

They've had their fair share in the last few with disallowed goals, handballs, red cards. The pendulum must be due to swing again at some point.....

I'd be surprised if Barnes features tomorrow with all the injuries and pies he's had. He was going to retire at Norwich so it's an odd signing for them. A bit like us getting excited at signing Dunny because he scored a few times against them.

I'm more worried about all our injuries as midfield is massively downgraded and we have two first team forwards out. I'll be just as worried when we play Boro and Portsmouth. They've already had their jammy luck by not playing us a month ago.

I believe it's the nous he brings to them.  He's won this league with them twice (promoted three times) and he'll play a big role in getting them over the line this year.  He was a massive influence on their younger players last time, so I'm told. He's also a massive shithouse, something all the best teams have in their locker.

I think it's the Dingles' day tomorrow, Rovers just don't have what it takes.

Been thinking set pieces might be the difference for us.

I'm hopeful that the 'Cantwell being ill' thing is a bit of a smokescreen and opportunity to rest him before tomorrow's game - he's undoubtedly the man with the bit of magic to turn a stalemate into a Rovers win.

Looking forward to seeing the fullest Ewood we've seen for a while, for an actual big game as well.
It'll be the biggest crowd my 9 YO will have been in, along with the atmosphere, etc.

Can't wait.

As long as they come at the right time with the right bodies on the end of them but it's s fair point we could well scab one from a set piece.

The night before the day after.

Totally hyped for this one, more than previous years.
