v Burnley (h) - 4/1/2025

I don’t want to win by a dodgy decision. I want to win through skill and hard work. Don’t want any ‘but you wouldn’t have won if…’ Please Rovers, get the win, but whatever happens show real (controlled) passion. Looking forward to the match but nervous!

Really hope Cantwell is fully fit. Him, Hedges and Dolan, with Leonard up top - whilst he didn’t show too much against Leeds he did some good defensive work, and hopefully with Cantwell behind him, he can find some space. ACD and Gueye to come on!

My Facebook is filled with Burnely pages because they talk about Rovers so bloomin much! Come on Rovers!

Well, the weather is fine! Should suit Rovers down to the ground this game.  Pressure is on Burnley.  Think these players will stick up for themselves unlike some of the softer lads we've had over the last few years - Hyam better man-up today.

Bit of a scratch team but I think I would go with JRC in the middle for a bit of shithousery.

Pears

Brittain

Hyam

Baath

Beck

JRC

Tronstadt

Hedges

Dolan

Cantwell

Leonard.

Toss up between JRC starting centrally and dropping Baker - or keep Baker in and drop Dolan with JRC at rb and Brittain further up.

*JRC has been a bit off it this season but I always feel you benefit from a couple of  home grown lads in a derby.

Trying to convince the kids to brush their teeth  so we can set off and make sure we're 2 hours early...

I think I'd play Leonard to start with Gueye coming on for 2nd half chaos, we just look one dimensional with him starting.

Cantwell - great if he plays but certainly not the end of the world if he's on the bench and it would be interesting to see how he can change a game from sub

Overall - a result today feels like it could be season defining

I'd happily take a dodgy decision, let's not forget we had a perfectly good goal ruled out at Turd Moor this season. That would have been a 2-1 win.

I'm stuck in Sweden. It's not on rovers tv but I'll find a stream no doubt. To be honest I'm looking forward to it but dreading it at the same time.

Please rovers do it for us overseas fans.

As for Ashley Barnes.. He's unlikely to feature but if he does I hope he gets twatted one way or another... Preferably by a ball boy!

It is on Viaplay if you know a subscriber (should also be on in most sports bars if you can to one and tell them to switch from skiing and hockey repeats… 😉
