rovers11 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 (edited) Players gave it their all but they're not good enough if we're honest. Burnley didn't even break sweat and won't have an easier afternoon all season. Another reminder of what a top manager Eustace is getting this poor squad around the top 6. Blow-in Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Fair play John Eustace at least someone was up for it. 4 Quote
Moderation Lead Popular Post K-Hod Posted January 4 Moderation Lead Popular Post Posted January 4 Sick of us being the nearly men when it comes to those cunts. We know we don’t have enough quality and we know that it costs money. If we don’t spend that money in January, we’ll have more feelings like this. Fuck off Venky’s and all your shithead underlings that you pay to do your bidding. A cancer on this club, the lot of you. 14 Quote
ItsRoverZ Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Game over, was game over the second they took thier one chance. They've come to our own back yard and out eustaced us. Don't know how anyone can be proud of that performance? Very little to get excited about and never looked like scoring. 4 Quote
bluebruce Posted January 4 Posted January 4 They took 30 seconds to take that nonsense free kick, we played 15 seconds after it. Makes sense. Quote

Nic81 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 What happened with Eustace and Parker at the end? Swansea equalised against West Brom 1 Quote
Forever Blue Posted January 4 Posted January 4 We lacked the quality up front but they were nothing special. We just fell asleep on one cross and they scored. Still lots to play for…. Fuck off Venkys 1 Quote
neophox Posted January 4 Posted January 4 No difference to the Hull game at home.. we were to soft...we really need signings if we want to sustain a play off place...big disappointment. Quote

We could have played for another 15 hours and wouldn't have scored. Funnily enough selling our only goalscorer and not replacing him turned out to be a bad idea, who'd have thought 🤔 7 Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Weak performance especially from the attacking third. Cantwell is so so poor, cant even do simple passes right. Zero attacking threat and our goals column speaks for itself. We need an attacking midfielder in the middle of the pitch and one striker who can finish off any half chances we have. 1 Quote
Herbie6590 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Getting really f*cking fed up with seeing this lot celebrate at Ewood. Today illustrated just where reinforcements are required but can any of us say we are remotely confident that necessary moves will be made? Two points from 15…slip sliding away…again. 5 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted January 4 Backroom Posted January 4 The players worked hard but the quality just isn't there. For what it's worth, nor was it for Burnley save for one moment which decided the game. It certainly wasn't obvious that one team had spent a fortune on their squad whilst the other had seen their squad systematically dismantled by inept, disgraceful owners over multiple periods spanning a decade plus. 7 Quote
moerpho Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Burnley have let in 9 goals so far this season. 9. If we were going to score today we would need something really really special. I think the boys really tried, but the lack of quality was glaring today. Still we didn’t roll over when going behind so that’s progression at least. We really missed Travis today….again. And we really desperatly need a striker. Now. *sigh* Quote

Yep, the dingles are a poor side. We're just worse unfortunately. 2 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Very tight game, probably Burnley edged it. After the first 15 mins we didnt trouble them but they created very little themselves. Really disappointed by Cantwell. We got into some good positions but he was very wasteful. I get that its risk vs reward but other flair players we have signed (Dack, Marshall, Holtby etc) just havent been as wasteful as he has been. He was really poor. Thought we should have hooked him before Gueye or ACD... 1 Quote

neophox Posted January 4 Posted January 4 (edited) 2p in the last 5 games... We really need to change this dreadful form. Worrying home form. Edited January 4 by neophox 1 Quote
Displaced Rover Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Utterly shit. Devoid of quality across the front 6. To those saying they worked hard, not sure I agree. Plenty of passengers across the team. Fuck all “arte” and very little “labore”. Sure all the walk ons will be racing for more tickets 2 Quote

I think they beat us without getting out of second gear. We are well organised and pretty hard to beat but the players cannot string 3 passes together. Cantwell looks like he is carrying an injury and is only on because noone else can create. We need a striker but Alan Shearer wouldnt have done much today there is no service what-so-ever. I think playoffs are gone and I'll be amazed if we spend a million in January. I am loggin off now before I have to read anything from Chaddy. 2 Quote
Valconite Posted January 4 Posted January 4 When they have to step up they disappoint. So predictable. Will be no recruitment in Jan for “good” players as usual and will drift away. Just fuck off already Venkys. 2 Quote
