BankEnd Rover
Painfully bad up top. All good n well having a tight backline but we are in dire need of pace and quality. Never looked like scoring and neither did they? Was it one shot they had and then obviously their goal? I wouldn't be giving Cantrell to much grief, don't think these tactics work for him and no good if he's got no quality around him. Dolan worked hard but still doesn't bring any attacking threat. Big 3 weeks ahead.

West Brom conceded in the final minutes so a win at home v Pompey in our game in hand would put us above West Brom and most likely back into the top 6. How soon before Travis is back as we're really missing him? He's a different player under Eustace. I can't see us getting back into the play off positions without an injection of quality in midfield and attacking areas both with players coming back or transfers. We've run out of steam.
Ricky
I think Cantwell has a lot to offer still. I just think he’s been off it since the suspension. Today he was poor but there’s a player in there. He wasn’t the only poor one today but he should have been hauled off after an hour but it probably highlights how thin our squad is that he stayed on.
roverandout
Great atmosphere. Strong defence but nothing anywhere else. Cantwell Is massively overrated. Gheye is bang average. 35 quid to watch a bang average performance
lraC
Poor game overall lacking in quality. It is stating the obvious, but we need a striker and fast, but I can't see us getting one.

Trinidad Rover
Poor. Quality tells for them - once chance, one goal. Total lack of quality in midfield and upfront for rovers. Really opportunity missed with the optimism and big crowd. Another repeat of the last 3 January’s to come as well. Zero will be spent and the squad is so stretched. Something that did hit home today….full stadium but the owners box totally empty. Just about sums up the apathy. Wretched.

Gamst
Can’t knock the effort and desire. Ultimately not our day but at least we got a good unexpected draw at their place. It is only fair to mention that their squad is worth many times what ours is and they are certainly not that many times better than us. They are very solid but unspectacular and fingers crossed that will only get them so far and we’ll be playing them again next season! We just lack quality in offensive areas and we all know that we are unlikely to be getting the desired quality anytime soon and whilst this remains the case we are always paddling upstream. Eustace and the squad are doing very well to compete with squads like Burnley/Leeds and whilst we are all disappointed, I think this is important to remember. Labore and not enough Arte is preferable to me than the other way round! Maybe next time!

Apathy, and they know there's a good chance of defeat, which is largely their fault. Cowards.

Cause he does, attacking wise, he's literally all we have, everyone else IMO doesn't offer enough or simply isn't good enough. We need cantwell.

Bohinen1983
We've lost so much quality that we haven't replaced- simple as. I do wish Venkys would sod off and sell us.
cesus
Ultimately just a galling defeat. Our passing was a killer today. Giving the ball away on the few breaks we had, awful set pieces and crossing. They had one chance and I'd say it was our only semi mistake at the back, as I thought Brittain (who had a good game) was balanced to clear it far more effectively than Hyam. I've got nothing to say about those bastards.
Popular Post JCRovers
Not enough quality in final third, simple as that. Eustace is a good manager who is getting pretty much the absolute maximum out of the squad but the team will end up finish mid-table if no attackers are signed in January window and Eustace will leave by the end of season if no intention of investment is being shown. The likes of Dolan and Hedges are decent Championship players at best but don't have enough quality to compete at a higher level. We could've scored from one of the many corners we had but it wasn't to be today. In the end, our overall play was poor, not many passes were stringed together and our threat on the counter were next to nothing. If the owners think that changing manager/head coach without making a significant investment in the squad will bring them promotion then they're f*ing delusional. Constant changes in the recruitment team and rumours about power struggles in the hierarchy doesn't exactly bode well either nor does it bring any sort of long-term strategy in the transfer market. It's a disgrace how this club has been run for the past 15 years and the owners should be ashamed of themselves. Anyone making the argument that they're putting in £ 20 m/year to cover operational expenses, keep in mind that £ 0 has been put in for the last 1,5 - 2 years due to their legal troubles in their own country. Also keep in mind that they caused the financial troubles in the first place by sacking Allardyce and replacing him with an incompetent, inexperienced m*ron which ultimately led to relegation from the PL. Feel sorry for everyone who attended the game today, they deserve better than to watch these bunch of average players play week in week out and trying to stand behind a club who's being run by clueless owners. Absolutely nothing to fear from 90% of the teams in this division, even with the albatross that is Venky's constantly weighing us down. We lost to Hull in similar circumstances though. For me, we’ve hit another famous death spiral and as ever, God knows when it’ll end.

Yeah but we all knew before the game to sustain a top 6 challenge we need to add better quality We have 10 days till our next league, our game in hand ,a win and we most likely will be back in the top 6. Agreed we missing Travis massively
