Did I really hear the stadium announcer saying "have a good afternoon"  after the game in a really enthusiastic voice as thousands trudged out completely pissed off?

He is really poor, the current announcer - sounds like a Work Experience kid and I'm surprised they've kept faith with him.

I don't like digging people trying to their job out, but he's just not good enough.
I've never announced at a stadium, but I'd be a massive improvement, never mind an actual broadcaster / similar.

Quote from JE on rovers website:

We’re a work in progress, we’re fighting, we’re scrapping and the 22,000 Rovers fans who came to support us today can see that we’re trying to do the right things.

Wonder who gave him that number - the Loons in Pune will be impressed with Waggots work at bringing back the fans

So club happy to confirm then that c1,000 seats somehow didn’t end up on sale in home areas.

He's probably asked to be paid peanuts, just the way they like it.

Have a mate who works in social media / marketing. He applied for a marketing role at Rovers in the summer. They short listed him for the job and asked for his salary expectations, to which he put whatever the average is for such a role. They immediately ghosted him afterwards 😂.

Again, there were never 5,500 empty seats in Ewood yesterday.

Ticket sold figure yesterday was 25,900, home areas sold out and packed (even corporate areas) apart from the very end corner of the JWL (so a long way from 1,500 unfilled)  - so the only answer is the capacity is no longer 31,367.

i thought we did ok yesterday, there was`nt much to choose between the two sides in all honesty, there is no guarantee the inbreds will go up automatically and we might get to  see them defeated in the play offs and that pan faced gimp parker wondering about in a distressed state,if carlsberg did play off results🤣

Credit where it's due, their CH on loan from City Egan-Riley looked some player yesterday. Those diags he was pinging to both wingers in the first half were top quality and he never once got flustered with our increasingly desperate 'Alamo' balls late on.

Yea, defeated by Rovers, wouldn’t that be sweet, always thought yesterday would be decided by one goal, we just came out the wrong side of it. Fleming could have put his chance wide, Baker could have scored. Personally thought we matched them all over the pitch.

he did look very composed though defending against our forward line is`nt hard tbh, definately one to watch for clubs in the premier league

Can’t get too wound up about their celebrations. It shows that they take wins against us as an achievement. It’s good to have some serious rivalry and we would do the same had we won.

As for the match, it was always going to be a struggle against a good team and missing several key players. The defeats at Millwall and to Hull are more damaging and we need to get back on the winning trail very soon. Hopefully with a stronger squad.

We wouldn't. We operate with more class - even if our boardroom is full of talentless chancers and our owners are scum.

I’ve just seen one of the dingle players throwing the corner flag around at the end of the game, covering the Rovers badge with his shit shirt. This without doubt triggered the Rovers fans in the Riverside and they should be fined for doing that. If the club was run on any sort of local level I’d be cutting next seasons allocation in half to, put them back in the box until they learn to behave.

I hope the Rovers players saw this, our time will come AGAIN you dingle arseholes.

Totally agree, for years we snacked them about and didn’t resort to such childish taunts and inspiration behaviour.

they was bitching about the allocation which is more than we ever could. Get there so I would honestly half it again and stick them in upper tier to send a message that if you wanna play petty games we will play

Hope the automatic race goes down to final game and dingles need Sheffield United to drop points and they are playing us 😂 play the under 18s. Dingles haven’t got the stomach for a play off

I hadn’t thought of that either 🤣

Dolan between the sticks. ACD centre half. Pears up front.

had`nt thought of that,we might get the final laugh after all😅

I prey for it aslong as we’ve either secured play offs ourselves or we ain’t in the race anymore it would be bloody funny. Next season if they are still here I would go ultra petty on them, 2k tickets in darwen upper only and if we beat them get our own back and more some

Only last week we were laughing about Gueye and even Eustace winding up Leeds fans, we used to love the side of Souness that planted his flag in the centre circle in a Turkish Derby and a club legend was allegedly involved in a flyover at the turd

We can’t have it both ways, they have the bragging rights and it’s a pill we need to swallow.

Its like how as a fan you detest shithousery against you but love the likes of Travis and Savage when on your side and Pears is possibly the most prolific time waster in the league.
