‘101 Great Rovers Goals’

[4,000 Holes]

For the last few years, 4,000 Holes has been establishing a ‘101 Great Goals’ collection. These have been put forward as fanzine articles by a variety of Rovers supporters.

The rules are very relaxed. It can be a Goal of the Season contender, a promotion-winning strike, a scrappy effort which broke a goalscoring duck, or one which is memorable for any other obscure reason. Some maverick has even added a couple of goals scored against Rovers into the list! On that note, here's Matt Le Tissier's induction from this day 30 years ago. The best goal Ewood has ever seen?

Anybody wondering why we don’t score many goals ? We don’t get to the byline often enough. What a killer ball that was from Pedersen. Really hard to defend against when you’re running back towards your own goal.  All crosses don’t have to be head high.
