Mattyblue Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Last game at Ewood before Christmas. Boxing Day and Dingles soon to come. Always going to be a smaller gate today… still 4,000 walk ons though. Quote

Overall he doesn't get involved enough for me. Merry Christmas to you too. He is a defensive midfielder. His job is to break up opposition attacks which he is excellent at. I didn't see Luton breaking forward too many times in that first half Do you know anybody else who thinks Tronstadt is poor? 3 Quote

All he does is win the ball & pass it sideways…” 😁 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Not sure how we're doing this, we've two strikers who although Gueye showed up well today don't look like they've got a goal in them between them and I didn't think we played all that well but it somehow translated into a relatively comfortable 2-0 win. Eustace is working absolute miracles with this squad. Thought Duberry was by far our stand out performer. It's a shame two of our best players (other one being Beck) belong to another Club. 3 Quote
Popular Post sharpysharps86 Posted December 14, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 14, 2024 Rovers have now won one more game than Burnley after both sides have played 20. Not sure anyone would've predicted that at the start of the season. Every credit to John Eustace and a group of what appears to be very well drilled players. Still an awful long way to go this season and Rovers will surely have a poor run or two to come, but we can be so very proud of them at what is 3 games shy of the halfway stage of the season. 11 Quote

Forever Blue Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 ‘Only 2 t’s in Tronstad’ is probably a good name for a podcast. Quote
Rover down South Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 John Eustace and this squad have got me loving Blackburn Rovers again. I think we all thought after Sammie went we’d struggle. What a job he is doing. I know Venkys & Waggott will do their best to f*?k it up again in January, but at the moment I just cannot wait until the next matchday 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️🔵⚪️ 3 Quote

Broke up play and got us going again. As he does most weeks. There was only once I remember him giving it away 7 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Great win and fantastic performance from the players and Eustace. Eustace got his tactics and team selection spot and we played on the front foot from the first minute. we scored 2 excellent goals and the movement attacking wise was a joy to watch. Second half we sat back more and remain solid and compact. No risk taking from us. ACD was excellent as was Travis(Captain performance), Ohashi and Beck. That was Gueye's best performance in a Rovers shirt. in the second half, I never felt we would concede with Luton attacking performance. before the season started I tipped them for the league title and how wrong I was. They were awful. Talking to Luton Fan post match was saying its been disappointed season and the fan based on split on whether they should sack Edwards which he says would cost alot of money to do so I thought the fans were excellent today and the atmosphere from minute 1 was good. Great to see so many fans stay behind after the game and clapped the players, Also there is a bond between Fans and Eustace who was clapped and shouts of Eustace from the BBE fans very good night to be Rovers fan and I will enjoyed my Indian takeaway greatly Eustace's Blue and White Army 🔵⚪ 8 Quote
Popular Post Andy Posted December 14, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 14, 2024 Tronstad was integral to how we played today, as he has been during this recent run. He was very good throughout the whole game. It's bizarre that this needs spelling out. 10 Quote
Mattyblue Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 ‘Anonymous’ in a half we controlled midfield. Oh Rev 😅 4 Quote

He is fundamental to the way we play and his defensive diligence cannot be understated in the last five games when we haven't conceded a goal. Unless the poster is trying to wind others up. 12 Quote
only2garners Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Thinking about a man of the match and yet again I am struggling to see past Tronstad yet again. He completely ran the midfield for the umpteenth time. I think he made one error towards the end of the game. 2 Quote
doctorryan Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 We almost completely outplayed a "parachute club" with a Prem-level keeper(It sucks to see Kamy playing against us). Hyam-Batth & Travis-Tronstad are clicking like clockwork & I love how Pickering-Beck works on the left. ACD is a real handful & that's the best Ohashi & Mak have looked together. You gotta love that we're the only club with those 6 green & white W's in the form column of the division table at the moment. 7+ hours without a goal against & 5 points out of automatic promotion with a match in hand. There's not a better time for one of our most dreaded away trips at The New Den. 2 Quote
