So here he is...

Big John Eustace!

Everybody's having fun

Look to the future now

It's only just begun

Fantastic, let’s get it going. Only disappointment today was the crowd, this team need and deserve better support, time any stay aways turn up and give Eustace and his team all the help we can.

Another professional performance today when, once again the whole was better than the sum of its parts. Getting the two goal cushion in the first half was great and gave Eustace an opportunity to sit in a bit deeper and play more on the break in the second half as Luton were always going to come out all guns blazing in the second half. It really pleased me that we didn't allow ourselves to be bullied by Luton which has happened too often against them in the recent past. Another pleasing aspect was that we didn't suffer from the changes made to the team which augers well for the future and gives us real competition for places.

But to reiterate we have won six games back to back and the last five we have kept clean sheets. Clearly winning is the priority but I get massive satisfaction from the clean sheets. It's not going to last forever but I'm delighted right now with the players and staff.

It won’t last forever but as long as we get one on January 4th, I’ll be happy.

With only 9,000 ST holders you aren’t going to be getting bumper crowds for matches just before Christmas with Boxing Day and Burnley just after new year. They could well be two of the biggest home turnouts we’ve seen in years I’d wager.

Last game at Ewood before Christmas. Boxing Day and Dingles soon to come. Always going to be a smaller gate today… still 4,000 walk ons though.

Hopefully, folk turn up against the Makems and Dingles and then stick with the team through the second half of the season. If Ewood was somehow restored to a noisy and hostile support, it could well make the difference between falling short or making the elusive play offs.

My main disappointment was the fans leaving as soon as the final whistle left. I was in the Riverside and was really pissed off at everyone not staying to clap the players and management. We've just won 6 in a row.

Absolute disgrace.

I couldn’t agree more. All people like to feel appreciated for a job, well done.

Regarding ACD, I’m still not a fan of predominently left footed players out on the right. They want to come inside all the time and it compresses play. ACD reminded me a bit of Scott Sellars but Scotty played on his correct wing.

In another era I'd agree with you, but the game is now different. It's no orthodoxy to have wide forwards play on the opposite flank. I don't think Salah would have scored anywhere near the goals he has if he played on the left.

As to Tronstad. He's been outstanding. Teams never get the jump on Rovers because he is always where he needs to be.

If only Salah was playing for Rovers.

Not long after you signed him I came on to say that we (Dundee) had Beck on loan last season and he’d been absolutely sensational for us and although it was a step up, I really hoped, and thought, he’d be good for you. So pleased he’s managed to impress you guys too. Not just his ability but his attitude was fantastic. Last January he got recalled to Anfield as they had a left back crisis. Rangers were wanting him on loan, Celtic were meant to have offered £5M. Then Jurgen brought him on in a game with 5 minutes to go meaning he couldn’t play for anyone else last season, so we got him back. Do you think he could start for Liverpool right now if he was back there?

Could he start for top-of-the-league Liverpool right now?

No, probably not, but he wouldn't die wondering that's for sure.

Beck, reminds me a lot of another Liverpool left back we signed- Warnock.  Brilliant little player.  Liverpool are arguably one of the best teams in the world right now, they're being linked to Alfonso Davies..  I'm not sure he's in that bracket.  He'd surely be a good squad player, which is no mean feat..  Wonderful player. I think he'd walk into a side like United though. I see more in Beck than the likes of Rico Lewis at City.  Joy to watch. Massive potential.   How's your season going- Dundee United? Didn't we sign Billy Mckinlay from you?

It's a massive step up and I dont think he's ready for that. But he's a very tidy player with a brilliant attitude and a massive fan favourite already.
