Beck, reminds me a lot of another Liverpool left back we signed- Warnock.  Brilliant little player.  Liverpool are arguably one of the best teams in the world right now, they're being linked to Alfonso Davies..  I'm not sure he's in that bracket.  He'd surely be a good squad player, which is no mean feat..  Wonderful player. I think he'd walk into a side like United though. I see more in Beck than the likes of Rico Lewis at City.  Joy to watch. Massive potential.   How's your season going- Dundee United? Didn't we sign Billy Mckinlay from you?

No, we’re Dundee. That was United. We’re mid table with a very young squad, trying to develop youth. We sold our best player to Celtic at the end of the window, Luke MacCowan - he’s a massive hole. We’ve only ‘given’ you Colin Hendry……

I'm not being Rovers-biased when I say this, but he needs the rest of the season with us to continue his development.

Ideally then another season with a mid-to-lower end Prem team before looking to establish himself as a first teamer for Liverpool.

Definitely has the potential though, has the base of everything in his locker.

Did Beck play solely as a left back for you? He is sometimes used by us (including today) further forward, and is very capable there too.

(Optimism alert) Hopefully that would be a second season with us.

We play 5 at the back most weeks so he was LWB. Suited him perfectly. You could see he could play play further forward though but he’s got a great ‘engine’ so marauding from deep seems best.

Sorry, no offense intended.  Sure you're fully aware, but Hendry is an absolute legend down here.  Always good to hear off other fans.  Good luck for the season. I'll keep an eye out for your results!

We have a couple of selection dilemmas now, Brittain had been very good but JRC has come in from the cold somewhat to put in 2 excellent performances and the shirt I suggest will be his until he either is unavailable or if his form drops.

Cantwell is a key player for us but I wonder who will make way. Ohashi looks better suited playing off the front but I would assume he would be the one to make way. Having ACD able to run in behind might really benefit him.

Luton were really poor and Edwards must be fearing the sack. They seemed very top heavy with Morris, Adebajo and Brown all playing. They maybe lack some physicality in midfield when they had Mpanzu and then Nakamba joining last time as key players, and Doughty is a big miss. Chong is a good player but not sure he suits their team.

Great result again at home, total domination in that first half and probably should have scored more.

Felt like we stepped off in the second and let them try and score which isn’t the smartest move IMO. thankfully they didn’t and once the lad got sent off things settled down.

Thought Gueye and ACD were class today, hope we keep the good run going over Xmas.

He is very capable going forward but impressively for a young full back he is good defensively too.

Billy Koumetio was on loan at Rovers the end of last season. He barely played but looked shaky initially though I thought he looked like he had some potential.

As a center forward.

Loved the first half display, we made Luton look very ordinary. Gueye was a real handful and skilful, also ran his socks off. Tronstad was absolutely outstanding, first half in particular; he's always been great at breaking up play but his passing and first touch seems a lot sharper this season. I feel he is the player we'd really miss. Quite fitting his new song mentions Rodri. ACD showed glimpses of what we've lacked this season - a directness, offering tricks whilst actually progressing and entering the box...

I would look to loan out Leonard and bring in a quality striker, then attempt to get Sigurdsson off the books. If we can bring in 4 players in Jan and keep the squad together we'll be looking a decent force.

£2-4m might be all it takes, it should be there, we didn't spend it in summer.

Incredibly , I am even further north than you as I’m Aberdeen, just to say sorry for bowyer , he cost us our best chance of promotion, good at recruitment but terrible manager.

im sure Gary harkins probably played for you at some point too, he played for every Scottish team. Sorry to say when I was very young it was the tangerines for me (Duncan Ferguson) before I was enticed by Blackburn due to a connection with jack walker. McGowan is a big loss for you but good luck for the rest of the season

Glad to be wrong. Remarkably didn't miss Cantwell (or the other 9 unavailable) and Kamimsky was suspect rather than a wonder show.

Luton are a big side. Gueye didn't look the big man on a field of midgets he sometimes can appear. Gueye had a great game and as Eustace said, give him the benefit of the doubt for the back heel lay off for Beck's goal. Kaminsky bought the feint and that is what matters...

The most impressive aspect of this 5 game run without conceding is I am struggling to think of many instances when I had that sinking feeling the opposition must score. Pears has made a few saves but no MOM performance or top drawer saves have been required from him.

This marvelous organisation was summed up from the 79th minute yesterday when we kept possession for 2 minutes without Luton getting a sniff of the ball and effectively killed the game off

We are in uncharted territory here. Plenty of excuses for not winning but they are not needed!

Long may it continue....

Eustace is very clever and knowledge about how to set up attacking and defensive against different teams.

Yesterday, we witness that cos when we had the ball we played 3-4-2-1 and without the ball back into 4-2-3-1 formation mid block defensive line.

Given that Millwall will either be caretaker head coach or a new appointment so it will be interesting how Eustace picks his team and how we set up. We can played different ways and that is something this group of players and Eustace are very good at adapt to the game situation and what is needed. Plus factoring in we have 11 games in the next 46 days so the squad will need using and a couple of good signings in January

Luton played 3-4-3 formation with those 3 up front which is something I think Edwards needs to change and go to back 4 and play Morris or Adebajo as the 9 with Brown and Chong has their wingers.

Both Mpanzu and Nakamba were both on the bench yesterday and neither came on. Maybe Edwards is looking to move them on in January and bring in different players.
