v Millwall (a) - 21/12/2024

It's one of those games were too many players are off it and when we do go forward it's like they've never played together before. There's no coherence, it's just hopeful, hoping for a slip up from a defender.

Some blinkers in this chat re: the ref who has had a fairly steady game in my opinion. The Cozier-Duberry one might have looked soft at first but it was studs on the lower shin/ankle. VAR in the prem and it’s worse than just a free kick to Millwall

(view may change when I see this penalty shout again)

In a world obsessed with "philosophy" and "playing the right way" Millwall really have stuck to their blood and thunder and getting stuck in way of play. Have to admire it in a way but didn't get them far.

That is their philosophy. And as far as their caveman crowd are concerned it's playing the right way.

(Not actually knocking that style tbf, the game is mostly about winning and nothing wrong with a bit of passion...Millwall fans are proper scum though by and large)

I knew that, so I've no idea why I didn't think to bet on under 2.5 goals and also on Travis being booked, which was an inevitability in this game!

I thought the exact same lol. Happens every weekend. Also I get stung sometimes - I put a bet on say, Dolan to be first goal scorer, 5 mins into the match one of the commentators will say “an interesting stat is that Dolan has never scored first in any match” 🤦‍♂️
