I think that's what the club want you to believe, but it's actually not true...

Saturday 23rd February 2013 - 3pm - Rovers 0 Leeds 0

Saturday 30th November 2013 - 3pm - Rovers 1 Leeds 0

Saturday 22nd November 2014 - 3pm - Rovers 2 Leeds 1

Saturday 20th March 2016 - 1230pm - Rovers 1 Leeds 2

Wednesday 1st February 2017 - 1945pm - Rovers 1 Leeds 2

Saturday 20th October 2018 - 12pm - Rovers 2 Leeds 1

Friday 3rd April 2020 - 8pm - Rovers/Leeds was scheduled for Sky but obviously postponed due to covid.

So twice in the last 7 meetings it's moved, it's complete nonsense.

Hmmm and when did the penny pinching wage thief start in office ?

Seems it was fine at 3pm before he turned up.

Idiotic pricing again but Preston are doing well so ripe for a fleecing.

Another game perfect for some kind of offer to fill the place up a bit but instead they drive people into the pubs and armchairs again.

How come we could do ticket deals with the likes of Bolton and Wigan in the Prem and accommodate 22 to 26k crowds but are terrified of the idea in the Championship ?

Why ?

I’ve been contacted by a few Preston fans who follow them home and away. They’ve already said they’re giving this game a miss due to the price.

When it’s the return fixture in February it will be similar pricing and this results in both sets of fans being fleeced.

Twenty is plenty.

The conclusion to reach is that they don't want a big crowd. It has been clear for some time that Waggott would rather have 15,000 on paying £30 a head than 30,000 on paying £15 a head. In his little world it's the same financial return for much less work and stress.

I don't think this is entirely Rovers created. I do think that if they put on a proper offer - say £15 per adult - they'd get complaints from the police and local 'authorities' who would be concerned about every Tom, Dick and Harry turning up running riot, but of course a proper club CEO would dismiss such and remind those people that it is our business what we charge.

We've seen their attitude and mentality - the level of panic and inability to cope when a crowd even approaching 20,000 is expected. Anything beyond that or getting towards 25,000 would show them up as they are simply incapable and frankly lazy.

No, Waggott's policy since Day 1 has been to squeeze smaller numbers for more, not increase numbers for less.

So a Friday night TV game, £30 a head, there will be about 17,000 on. 5000 or so from Preston and a couple of thousand walk ons for Rovers. Waggott will be delighted with that at those prices, plus the 'event' passes by with minimal issue or hassle.

I don't know why the fuzz bother about Leeds or Preston fans in Blackburn anyway as there is literally nowhere to sup.

They ain't even going to make an effort to take over the town these days there's nothing to take over.

Just another lazy era cop out.

I'm amazed that Sky Sports haven't selected it for live broadcast but lets be honest if they did and they wanted it on a Saturday tea time it would be on then.

They have no issue in making it a lunchtime kick off to the detriment of most supporters when it makes life easier for them but when Sky come along with their wedge of cash they find a way to move it to fit Sky's requirements.

We've been there and seen that with their antics with the Preston game. The Club were caught lying about this issue pretending that they had no option on this when it transpired the game could take place at other times.

It's as if there's a planned managed decline in fan base?

Leeds and Huddersfield have reached a reciprocal agreement of £20 for their games this season.

https://thefsa.org.uk/news/championship-fan-groups-call-for-efl-away-ticket-price-cap/

I have written to Waggott asking him if he intends doing the same and whilst he answered my emails he didn't answer the question. I proposed that he subsidises tickets for our game at Elland Road if he doesn't want to enter a reciprocal agreement with Leeds but he pretty much knocked this back which indicated to me that he won't be coming to any agreement with Leeds and intends to screw them whilst not caring about what we have to pay despite his lip service about away ticket prices. When the prices are announced for our game against them in December I'll revisit this with him.

Leeds v Hudds is more volatile potentially than any Rovers v PNE fixture yet they can manage to cut prices and fill up their stadiums.

Neither is as desperate for bums on seats and fan re-engagement as we are either but they understand the impact ticket prices and tv have in keeping people away from popular fixtures.

What a great advert for this area a 20k plus crowd and atmosphere to match would be and what better way to get people buying again in future.

Sack the board !!!!

PNE fans have already paid above £30 for games for Ipswich(£31) and Sheffield United(£33) away games so surely they paid that those games so why not for Rovers game?

I would charge £25 pounds for all Adult tickets. Cheaper children and over 65's tickets.

I would make Kids free with a paying adult ticket and only £5 pounds for over 65's

If we had season ticket priced at £250 for full adult ST then games like today you could charge £15 pounds and then anyone who bought a Cardiff ticket can buy Swansea one for £10 pounds.

I asked this question, they’ve said that with it also being on a Friday night and on Sky Sports, they’re not bothering.

Left my seat at 3.40 yesterday to get a beer and a pie. One of the bars was closed in the JW Upper. By the time I got served the second half was just kicking off. That’s almost 25 minutes to get served! Felt extra sorry for the kids in front of me who only wanted 2 chocolate bars!

I buy my granddaughter chips at every home game before kick off and yesterday went as usual, ordered them and flashed my debit card to pay when I noticed I was only paying £3 rather than the usual £3.75 (strangely they were £4 last season). I brought it to the attention of the girl serving me and she said they were smaller portions in a cone rather than a tray. I think they had run out of trays but it could be something else, who knows with what goes on down there. I did notice that the outlet which normally sells beer wasn't even open, probably the one you are referring to in the JW Upper but I don't think I have seen the concourse as quiet as it was only fifteen minutes before kick off.there

It seems like things like this are brought up at every Fans Forum but if anything things appear to be getting worse. Perhaps a unilateral boycott of food and beverages in the ground might kick start some change. But then again nobody in the corridors of power seems to give a toss.
